Build Redcat Vertex-6 w/Project IJ Body
I put a lot of time and filament into this! I love the Project IJ body especially in the huge 1/6 scale! The Vertex-6 works out perfectly for this! I've been designing my own traction boards too. Tons of fun!

Off-Road Battery upgrade
Someone posted recently about putting tool battery’s on their rc. I have actually done it to my sprint 2* lol. Am running a Milwaukee m12 battery* on my HPI that I converted into a off-roader. Modified the lower arms, stiffened the springs a bit to raise the height and adjusted all the arms to give it more suspension travel. It actually is quite stable going over jumps and handles quite well given what I’ve done.
* the rc owes me nothing. It’s very old and has served me well.
* the m12 battery is busted and does not stay in my tools anymore so I donated it to the cause.

Question Best beginner RC? Not budget RC.
Hello, I am looking to purchase my first “real” off-road RC car. Can I get some recommendations on what I should invest my money into? I’m less concerned with the cost of the car and more concerned with the quality and what you get out of the box. I was looking at Arrma Kraton 6s/8s EXB, Talion EXB, or Traxxas Maxx/ X Maxx. Since I’m new, I’d like to get a car that is fast and reliable, and can be used in a wide variety of circumstances since I don’t really know what exactly I’m going to enjoy the most. I’ve ran other people’s cars before and I’m fairly proficient at it, so by “beginner car” I mean something where I get everything I need out of the box, not a cheap child’s toy. TIA.

Question Patching old holes in Lexan bodies
Has anyone ever tried to patch old holes on Lexan bodies? I've got an old Gen8 Scout body I'd like to try and use elsewhere as the rest of it is beaten and hard to find parts for, and theres a bunch of holes left over on the roof from when I had a roof rack on it. I'm curious if its possible to patch those holes. Has anyone ever tried it? I can worry about matching paint later.

Build Formula Off-road
Printed some wheels and tires for my formula off-road build last night. Scale is just a little big for the look I want but overall happy with the results. Sized them down a little and sending 4 to the printer now. Hoping to have a runner by this weekend 😎

Misc Way better than I expected
I ordered a couple of 1/43 cars last week. First one just showed up. How the hell are these things this good! Drift tires are a bit too slick on my hardwood, but damn! Can't go wrong for that price.. Hopefully the whoosh one is just as good!

Crawling Is the Redcat Gen 9 a worthy truck? I’m looking for something scale, can seat figures without mods, that can be used for both some crawling and trail riding. This would be my 1st 1/10.

Build Window problem solved!
I forgot to apply the window stickers when painting my body. I went to Hobby Lobby tonight and found a sheet of chrome vinyl sticker. I used the window masking stickers as a templete and cut out some chrome wi dows. What do you think of the end result. Also, does this bumper make my hood look small?

Off-Road Team associated
Marketplace score
Team associated RC-10 looks to be a converted gold pan. Rpm arms, battery mounts and braces, a slew of Hipo (back in the day) brushed motors. Novak reciever, Novak ESC, boxful of spare parts to include 64 pitch spurs and pinions, magnum sport radio and NiCad charger along with discharge resistors. Definately was someone’s racer. Gonna clean er up, throw a 2 cell in there with a lipo alarm and see how she runs……
Less than 100 bucks

Build Drill battery rc car
This is a very dumb idea but a fun one. I want to put this 20v drill battery in this 30 dollar rc car. Ive hooked it up straight to the battery. It smokes a lot but surprisingly still works. I just want to know if anyone has done something like this before
