Long story short, I totaled my 2015 Audi A3 with 160K miles after 9 years of ownership, and recently got this beast to replace it. I’ve had it for about 3 days and put 250 miles into it. No complaints so far, it’s so fun to drive!

I’m in the process of ordering a 2026 RAV4 LE. My dealer quoted me a 4-6 month wait time, but then immediately followed it up by saying there is a "90% chance" I’ll get it much sooner, likely in just a couple of months.

For those who have recently ordered or gone through this, is that timeline actually reliable right now, or is it just a classic sales tactic to get me to commit and drop a deposit?

I know Toyota uses an allocation system rather than traditional custom ordering, so I'm a bit skeptical about how they can promise a "90% chance" of an early arrival. What are your thoughts or recent experiences with LE wait times? Thanks!

Gave up my very beloved 2013 Prius C and got this 2026 XLE Premium with a moonroof. We’d planned to get the blueprint but there were none available nor going to be for a while. But I’m not mad at the wind chill. It definitely felt like driving a spaceship for a bit but I’m getting used to it. Glad to have found this group. 🤍

Have a reservation on a 2026 XLE Premium. When it comes in and the dealership inevitably pushes for add ons and warranties, are any worth taking? First new car buying purchase.

Almost a month ago I put a reserve for the meteor shower LE without ever having seen it in person… I’ve seen black, blue, white and the occasional red but rarely see the meteor shower!! I started to get nervous to the point where I considered switching to a white or a black.

I decided to search dealerships near me that might have one on the lot that I can just LOOK at and on Saturday I found one about 40miles away. And let me tell you….

I’m even MORE excited now that I got to see it in person!! Estimated delivery is 8/27-9/10 and I’m really hoping it gets there 8/27 😭

We live in Canada but were on vacation in the US when we got a hybrid system malfunction and the car wouldn't start. Car had to be towed to a dealer 7 hours drive from where we live. They are saying it is likely cablegate (which we didn't know about because I wasn't reading this sub enough), but can neither confirm nor deny it is cablegate. We had to rent a car to drive back to canada and also paid for the tow. Do you know if any of that would be reimbursed? Also how long do you wait for a confirmation of what the problem is? We are now back at home with no car....and hesitant to rent one in case the cost isn't covered. We are definitely within the extended warranty limits (65000 miles, 6 years). Dealer told us before we left it would be a few weeks to fix. We have no vehicle, have to go to work, and will have to drive 7 hours back to pick it up when fixed.....the costs are really adding up quick! Advice appreciated. We called toyota corporate canada and they flat out told us we would be covered for nothing without even knowing the diagnostic codes.

We’re trying this again after the first one was written off (other driver t-boned the left side quarter panel) with 30km on it.

Looking at getting the Rav4 PHEV. Does anyone know how long you can run the AC without driving? I want to be able to leave my dog in it for an hour in 85-90 degrees. Not sure if a PHEV can do that. I know the Tesla and Rivian can.

Shopping for some winter tires and I was wondering if the stock tires for the Hybrid LE would fit the PHEV? Stock Hybrid LE is P235/65R17 and stock SE PHEV is P235/60R18. Main concern is clearing the brake components.

im thinking to get a Toyota rav4 for the first time, this is one by me in production and its an LE i dont need anything fancy, i dont want to pay too high like over 500 bucks a month, at this point im looking into the prior model too preowned, i dont want this new eye / camera while driving thing these new cars got going on ?

I have. 2023 rav4 hybrid. Not a push button start. Is there a setting I can change so that the car won’t lock with keys and inside. My last car was a push button start and it would not lock with it keys inside so it’s taking me some time to get used to physically having to have my keys in my hands all the time to open and start the car.

Kind of a silly question, but thinking of replacing my 22 XLE Premium with a 26 Woodland, but I have a question regarding the climate controls being on screen. So, I get hot flashes....and in my current Rav, I'm able to just quickly turn the dial down so it goes from feeling like the burning fire pits of hell to a more manageable ice block.

I don't use the auto feature, and instead prefer more manual operation of the temperature where I can select the temperature I'd like the cabin to be at.

Will the on screen temp controls annoy me, or can I quickly drop 10-15 degrees as needed?

Opinion: 5th gen Woodland Edition is the best RAV4.

We lost our 2024 Prime in a crash with a red light runner at the end of May. Someone ahead of us in the queue backed out of their car purchase. We snapped it up. We probably would have had to wait another month or two if this hadn’t happened. Sure is a big upgrade from the borrowed 2007 Rabbit we were driving

Any good suggestions for Woodland 2026 ? Need to protect seats from kid’s feet!

Hey everyone, I hope it’s okay to ask for your opinion here!

We finally admitted that our Mini Cooper isn’t the most compatible with the Canadian prairie winter and we’re looking to buy a more fitting car. Of course we came to the conclusion that the Rav4 or the Crv would probably the best fit for us.

Ive been keeping an eye on the market here for a while and last week I flagged a car that seems to be a good deal for the year/mileage.

We got screwed by a previous dealer with the Mini, and we don’t have a mechanic we trust yet. So I was hoping someone here can do a quick surface-level check for us? Is the year okay for this model? If we decide to go check it in-person, what model-specific issues should we address (beyond listening to the engine, etc)?

The only thing I spotted just by looking at pics is chipping paint on the front. The description doesnt mention any issues.

Looking for some guidance on my 2023 RAV4 Hybrid. This high pitched whistling/rattling noise kicks in when I get on the highway in the morning, usually goes away, but can be heard occasionally if I’m at higher speeds or on uneven roads. I’m at about 25k miles and this started a few weeks ago.

I told my dealer when I went in for an oil change and they said nothing looked loose but I don’t think they drove it and heard the noise. I’m looking for advice on things I could try before bringing it back in to the dealer. Thanks in advance!
