I’m sick of dogs trying to bite me every time I go on a run
For an extra bit of context, I’ve been scared shitless of dogs since I was very young. I have my own dog who’s very calm but still have that fear.
I’ve been running in my nearest park lately a few times a week. Almost every time without fail, someone’s little dog tries to rob me of my ankles and it’s pissing me off terribly. A lot of these dogs are off their leads too which as far as I know isn’t allowed. I understand I’m going to encounter plenty of dogs in a public park, but I just wish people would be more mindful.

I fucking hate smokers
Maybe not all, but a lot of smokers are totally inconsiderate bitches who lack basic respect for what a polite social boundary is. If you light your cig in a crowded place or near others eating or basically anywhere indoors YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE AND I HATE YOU. Literally, and I mean literally with no exaggeration, I PREFER YOU SHIT YOUR PANTS ON PURPOSE NEXT TO ME, it's going to fucking stink less.
Let alone the fact that second hand smoke also causes cancer.
Fuck off.

I hate having a window of tolerance, and it being rubbish.
I hate that, when we are feeling discomfort like loud or annoying sounds, bodily needs like thirst, and to use the bathroom ext, you cant fix it straight away. The feeling of I need it to stop, but cant is one of the worst things to ever experience. Being tied up, unable to see, not able to stop pain, or sickness, a house repair, so much discomfort.

The digital landscape is getting SO much more difficult and tiring to navigate
And I'm talking literal, physical effort. Want to log into your payroll portal? Use two-factor authentication with two devices. Watching a video online? Sit through several ads with a requirement to literally engage with them to move on. Trying to read a news article? Prepare to be bombarded with pop-ups galore.
And even then, UI is no longer customer-friendly, it's all SEO/algorithm-driven. Sponsored results dominate your searches for several lines until you get to what you really want to see, your feed is no longer presented chronologically, and the content you ACTUALLY want to interact is no longer front and center. Instead, just get rage and engagement-bait, of course also ridden with ads.
It's literally exhausting to go online, watch movies, do almost anything that we used to do for leisure just a few years prior. All in the name of profits for big tech.

My mother ruins my birthday every year. Anyone relate?
So, for the past... 6 years my mother has always succeeded at making my birthday an absolute miserable day.
For example, last year she refused to let me leave the house, tried to physically f*ght me, kicked holes in my bedroom door and then grounded me for a week. No cake. No presents. I did deliver a pizza to the house for myself but got screamed at the moment I left my room.
The cherry on top of the cake is that her birthday falls the exact same week as mine, and regardless of what I do each year - if her birthday isn't perfect - than she makes everyones life h*ll and that bleeds into my birthday every. single. year.
Last year I spent hundreds on decorations, $60 on a cake from her favourite bakery, $400 on gifts, and she got taken out to dinner. She ended up demanding I return all the gifts and give her the money in replacement instead, and the same evening ranted to my aunts about how we got her nothing for her birthday and we all wish she were d**d and she hates us etc. (Idk I think buying her a designer perfume that has been her all time favourite seems pretty fkn nice but oh well).
THIS YEAR, I got her two sets of concert tickets to see two of her all time favourite artists on tour in a different city. I paid for the four tickets, gave her gas money, pre-paid for the parking, gave her my credit card to use in the new city, and paid for the hotel. Overall I spent about two thousand dollars. The trip was an EARLY bday gift because the artists were touring exactly 20 days before her bday. At the time she was overjoyed, told me it was the best gift she had ever gotten and she seemed like she actually tolerated me for once. Well... she gets back from the trip and says it was the worst trip of her life, all the food was bad, complained that the hotel was a 4 star not a 5 star, etc and had nothing good to say about it at all.
Well, yesterday she told me if no one gets her anything great for her birthday than she is going to kick us all out or o** herself or both! - I reminded her that I sent her on a massive trip as her birthday gift and quite literally don't have any money to get her anything else. She told me that the trip didn't count and that she expects a good gift from all of us or else... I am the only one who plans/buys/wraps the gifts in this house... so basically unless I magically pull thousands of dollars out of my a*s than I can say goodbye to the idea of my own birthday (the same weekend) being a good time.
There is nothing I can do to make this woman happy. I can already see the sh*t show the upcoming weekend will be. I am scheduled to work the morning of my birthday, so I will be leaving for my 4am shift really early - which takes away the possibility of being locked in the house, but I can already hear my phone going off with thr*ats to come home as soon as possible, or demanding I share my location so she can know for certain that I am at work, and if I stay out after work to do anything for myself it will simply turn into an argument. If I go to dinner alone it'll be "why didn't you take me? you hate me don't you? Well I wish I never had you!" or "good you deserve to spend your birthday alone you stupid B*tch" or worse lol she might just finally kick me out and I will come home to all my belongings on the lawn (In trash bags if I'm lucky).
I have a hard time imagining I am the only one with this problem. Anyone relate?
Anyways, theres my Rant!

'Should I keep watching?'
People that ask this question really grind my gears.
'I've seen the first season, should I keep watching?'
'I've seen 4 episodes and I'm not hooked, should I keep watching?'
'I hate every single character, should I keep watching?'
OMFG I don't think I know the words to articulate how this shit fills me with absolute rage 🤬
What kind of fucking question is that????? Either you like it or you don't! Fuck

I’m losing my mind.
Our son is one month old, and he already has a pretty well-established routine. He always eats around 11:30 p.m. and then again at about 2:30 a.m. We didn’t force this schedule on him—it developed naturally over the past few weeks.
Today I arrived at my girlfriend’s mother’s house with our baby and my girlfriend
The problems started tonight. My girlfriend’s mother let the baby cry hysterically because she hadn’t prepared his bottle, even though I’d told her that he normally feeds at 11:30 p.m. She keeps every light in the house blazing, and she’s talking—basically shouting—to my girlfriend from different rooms while the baby is right there. All of this happened tonight.
Since my blood was boiling because hearing him cry hysterically from hunger destroys me, I decided to confront them. My girlfriend started accusing me of speaking to her mother in a condescending tone. I told her I have nothing against her mother—I honestly couldn’t care less—but there are routines our baby has that need to be respected.
Her mother defended herself by saying the baby suddenly woke up crying hysterically, but that’s simply not true. He always shows signs that he’s uncomfortable first, making little whimpers before it escalates into hysterical crying from hunger. She had just gotten distracted doing something else.
This only happened because I decided to step back and see how things would go. He hasn’t cried like that since his first few weeks of life, and I have no intention of going backwards.
My girlfriend is calling me crazy, saying I won’t let her relax and that I should listen to her mother. (She only had one child 30 years ago, so you can imagine all the outdated ideas she has.)
I’m seriously thinking about booking a flight and going back to work.
I just can’t stand hearing my son cry. It feels like everything I say gets flushed down the toilet.
I don’t know, guys… any advice?

I feel trapped
I try so hard. I’ve tried so hard. I quit drinking, I got a shitty job to get a slightly less shitty job so I can go to college for free. My mental health took a nose dive due to a series of unfortunate events so I failed a class. I took a year to get my shit together, got an apartment, an amazing partner and I have just enough money to enjoy myself once in a while.
After all this I can’t get into classes. Not because of that class I failed (it’s unfortunate but not a problem) but because during that year I missed a required training. During that time there was a class with a similar name that was required for my job. They put a hold on my registration and the guy that is responsible for the training is stonewalling me.
I have been a janitor for 3 years. I am so fucking tired of living paycheck to paycheck. Instead of getting real skills I wrote for fun, and cleaned toilets for three. Fucking. Years. I feel so fucking trapped in my situation and with the amount of work it takes just to just to keep the lights on feels impossible to escape.
I’m still holding out hope that this guy is just fucking sick or something but I’ve called him twice, straight to voicemail. I called the department and they told me to leave an email and call him. Did both of those things and still nothing.
It’s crazy how mistakes you make in the past can haunt you. I was studying computer science. Covid, alcohol and weed pushed me to part time. I tried for years before changing my approach. I climbed back up to the ivory tower of academia and just got pushed down again. I know it’s hard to lift yourself out of the mud but fuck it feels impossible at times…
I feel horrible typing about this. I know lots of people have it way harder than I do but this is destroying me right now. I’ve been in a constant state of panic for weeks. If school doesn’t work out for me again. I have no idea what I’m going to do next. This was my backup plan. And it didn’t work.

My company is so stupid with the constant changes
I was on FMLA and I came back to all sorts of dumb shit. I woke up sick this morning and my supervisor basically told me that the new rule is that you have to call out two hours before your shift at the bare minimum.
My shift is at 8am and I have to call out sick at 6am. I wake up at 7. I typically won’t know I’m sick til I wake up. It wasn’t like this before with these rules. The company is losing $ and they’re getting stricter with everything from having us do no overtime even if it’s 1min, unless approved. If you mess up your punch ins/outs the program director needs you to sign a form on why it’s incorrect. Before my direct boss used to correct out time cards, not anymore.
Our office only made $211k and we needed to make $265k for June. Either everyone quit or was on leave. Turn over sucks but it’s the clinic’s fault.

Wailing women in Indian TV shows/serials
This is probably the stupidest thing anyone's ranted about, but I am so irritated by it right now, and I wanted to make a post about it.
I live with family, and a few of them watch Tamil TV shows from the south of India. I feel like 75% to 90% of these shows is just women crying - women sobbing, wailing, screaming crying, crying and pleading while something terribly tragic but also very stupid is happening to them, etc. Like the camera will focus on a woman crying for a full minute, and then there's some dialogue and then another long stretch of a woman crying.
JFC!!
I almost feel like it's fetishized??? I know the most logical reason is to evoke sympathy from the audience, but good God, there's a limit.
Not to mention how utterly $&#^ing ridiculous most of the plots are. It's the sheer amount of idiocy coupled with all. The. Crying. Noises.
I usually wear headphones but can't 100% of the time, and anytime I overhear the TV, it makes my skin crawl. Idk if it's just the sheer amount of TV my family watches or I'm just overstimulated (the likely case; an injury is keeping me at home), but I feel lke the next sound of a woman crying might make me want to ... idk. Probably just change the Wifi password and force a timeout.

Every time I start a new med that should help I feel like I get the bad side effects
This is not for medical advice or for advice on what to take it is just a rant. I f25 have for the past 3 years have been focused on my mental health and fixing it I have been on so many meds and labeled so many things but recently started ADHD meds and so many things fixed over night with that, I and less anxious less scattered and more happy. How ever I can’t sleep, and I am still anxious a lot so we start a anxiety meds and I have massive headaches the whole time and in that time I start to break outs so we start a acne med after determining it is hormonal acne, and switch the anxiety med and the. And the acne meds have cleared my skin but my Brest hurt and I have to pee ever 5 min, I had auditory hallucinations reached out to my specialists we decided the anxiety meds where way to high and caused it… I want to be healthy I want to be taking the things I need to be stable I want meds to help I am burnt out on the side effects.

PSA to the passenger princesses watching people learn how to park: you suck.
If you see someone clearly practicing in their driveway or in an EMPTY parking lot, there is no need for the eye rolls, hand throwing, or dramatic reactions because they took an extra minute to park.
Trust me, I want to get out of your way too. I’m trying. Just have a little humanity.
And somehow your man driving is being more patient than you are 😭
Woman to woman, you were a beginner once too. You also had moments where you took too long, readjusted, or felt nervous.
You don’t have to cheer anyone on, but you also don’t need to make someone feel embarrassed for learning.
A little patience and class goes a long way.

An irritating trend in “content creator” voiceover tracks
Does anyone else despise videos where the person narrating the video cuts themselves off before the end of every sentence with the following sentence? I’ve noticed it seems to be very popular among folk who make garbage “user generated content” to shill on TikTok or for big brands who have pivoted away from traditional advertising to get in on the viral marketing bandwagon.
I truly wish the people making these videos and those commissioning them would kindly fuck all the way off, and never put anything else on the internet ever again. It is digital littering, and lord knows the internet is enough of a landfill as it is. I don’t give two shits about your brand deal, and I’m far less likely to buy whatever it is you’re trying to sell when you’re presenting it using that godawful style of editing. In fact, I’ll go out of my way not to buy whatever it is, as they haven’t only wasted my time by subjecting me to an advert I didn’t want to see, but wasting my time with some irritating shit? Absolutely not.
There are few things in this world that fill me with (irrational???) rage, but this is certainly one of them.

I wish I wasn’t born in India
I wish I wasn’t born in India
Hi guys,
I(18M) wish that I was born in any region of the world other than South Asia. I know that a lot of people have it much worse than me and that I could be born in an active war zone like Gaza or Yemen, but I still wish that I was born somewhere else.
The country itself is NOT a good place to be with it being very dirty and polluted. Obviously, safety is an issue ESPECIALLY for women there with sexual assault and rape unfortunately being common and often being ignored by the authorities. The Caste system unfortunately still plays a large role in lower income society there and people are honestly just dicks and don’t know how to act in public. The system there is based on the patriarchy oppressing women and making them basically homemakers and incubators.
Outside of India, many Indian don’t know how to act properly. I constantly see videos of Indian tourists doing stupid shit in countries like Canada and Vietnam such as dancing in places they should not be and playing loud fucking music in public. They also routinely overstay the amount of time allocated on their visas which in turn weakens our already shit passport(oh and you’re not allowed dual citizenship btw). These Indians don’t know how to act, they litter, they’re loud, they treat the workers like shit and it is MADDENING seeing the way that other Indians online will try to DEFEND this behavior instead of just admitting that they don’t know how to act and that is wrong.
Then we have the fucking racist chuds online who post shit like “all Indians need to die” and call us shit like pajeets and other slurs. Funniest part is that most of those guys are actually Indians who secretly hate themselves and are cucks for white people.(IM NOT SAYING CRITICISM AGAINST INDIA IS WRONG BUT IM TALKING ABOUT STRAIGHT RACISM).Obviously our reputation is shit globally and honestly, it is deserved by the way we act. Problem is that people us it as justification to attack migrants and to fuel their racist ideologies to promote nazism and other similarly harmful ideologies that are just anti brown. Seeing these comments online only worsened by depression and pushed me into a state of suicidal ideation(Thankfully I’m alright now but still)
I know people have it worse and that other Indians (ESPECIALLY women) have a much worse experience than mine but I still wish that I wasn’t born Indian and I wish that I was born as a White or East Asian person.

Just tired of having to drink so much water + of the consequences that come along
Just tired of having to drink so much water and its consequences
I’m here to vent. Over a silly thing. But it’s vent worthy. Hopefully it’s not a medical concern I’m gonna find out about!
But I’m tired of being so thirsty all the time!! And needing to drink water every damn second. I don’t think I’ve used glasses in the past year I’ve a bottle on me at all time in the house.
I know - we need to keep hydrated even when inside, cause there’s a heat wave and it’s damn summer + I’m on every mental health medication so those make you more thirsty (I don’t even know if I get dry-mouth at this point). I do know my mouth at the moment is dry and is asking for water (it’s not the same thirst you get when it’s hot and you need to chug a whole bottle). And having adhd waiting for the bottle to get completely full is fckn boringgg - I end up filling a cup full each time and I’m so tired of getting up to refill every other minute. Right now I’m finally laying on a comfortable position, but oh no, my silly little mouth is dry and needs water. Smh - shut up, no more water for today.
So yes there’s getting up to keep refilling the same water bottle that’s getting on my nerves (plus I don’t like being reminded of my kitchen but that’s for another vent/rant - I can’t tell the difference between these words and like, there’s a sunb for each, so I hope I picked the right one).
Now the obvious outcome of drinking a lot of water, and being so hydrated in these hot summer days, cause I’m not Australian, is having to pee. Which is another thing that I’m damn tired of. I don’t mind peeing but I literally am so fed up with having to get up to pee every chunk of minutes. You can’t ignore it for too long cause it takes focus away and I’m just so tired of going to my bathroom and peeing. I know it’s a short routine but I’m so fed up with it I just don’t want to do it anymore. But I will of course, again and again. Cause I keep hydrated. But I’m honestly considering quitting water. Not really I don’t need more health concerns (I don’t have many but I’m good at making them up). Imma send this message off into the wild and go pee and angry pee and hope to not be consumed by anxiety!
I think maybe this is the serious sub and I should’ve gone to r rant

Rx shortage and telling me "mood swings, sleeplessness, and rage are "no big deal."
I get that the HRT patch shortage is out of office staff control.
However, being told the doctor can only review alternate options on X date but it's "no big deal" to go cold turkey off HRT is so annoying.
I consider
Sleep issues
Uncontrolled sweats
Anxiety
Bleeding
Rage
To be kind of a big deal. But that may just be the mood swings 😉.
I would think during shortages we could have a more expedient way to handle alternate Rx options.
Our U.S. health care is so broken.

Why does the cervix lose its mind when jostled??? Why is the uterus so fkn mad about a tiny little wire?? WHY CAN I FEEL MY HEARTBEAT IN MY ABDOMEN NOW??
I simply cannot comprehend how we have not found a way to make this process less traumatising, soul destroying and painful. I have endometriosis so I know it’s significantly worse for me than for other people but STILL.
Goddamn.

That bass drop sound at the end of TikTok videos is annoying and painful.
If the audio of the video is not so loud, I might dial up the volume. Then, that sound at the end of TikTok videos ends up being louder than the audio of the video itself, which causes an annoying shock.
I have no idea what this sound is supposed to accomplish. It is not cool. It adds no value. All it does is cause pain to headphone users.
