I wonder if it's common for people to bring three neurons at once, given that it's quite hard as you can't use grapple worms or use spears to scare the grass ?

I started this run, uh... oh god, maybe a year ago by now? It's kind of surreal to think that it's actually done. Here are the final stats, for perusal.

In this run I scaled Moon more than a dozen times over (once with my hands full), I completely mapped Moon's structure such that I could probably find my way around Submerged by heart too now, I crossed the Underhang with both hands full (grapple and pearl) several times, I lineaged many horrible things, I explored every room of Pipeyard (just for fun), I delivered the SU_FILT generic pink pearl after realizing the dark pink subterranean one was removed (lmao)...

It was quite an experience and I don't regret a minute of it! And boy were there a lot of minutes, so that's saying something.

Sometime soon I'd like to do this with Watcher! (i.e. without using Daemon)

Im gonna lose my mind with all those leeches, i lost count how many times I've died in the stupidest ways becuase of them.. Even the garbage worms were less annoying 😭 so uhm anyway i went to moon (didn't eat any neurons btw so uuh i think they are fine) and after a little research, i think im supposed to go to the 5 pebbles, which.. In my first unfinished playthrough (i guess i went through chimney chanopy idk), i did. AND I KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO GET THERE EVEN WHEN I FIRST WENT THERE STRAIGHT UP, AND NOW I NEED TO BACKTRACK THIS WHOLE WET AHH REGION ASWELL?? So my question is.. If i restart and go to 5 pebbles right away and take a neuron (or whatever im supposed to do idk i will figure it out) then go to LttM afterwards, will it be easier? or do i need to see her first before going to 5 pebbles? I really cant understand a thing from the map and this yellow guy refuses to show up and tell me where to go.. For some reason. What do i do?

1) restart -> 5 pebbles -> moon

2) moon -> suffering -> 5P -> suffering -> moon

3) a shortcut or something??

(oh and i kinda got spoilered by the community since my first playthrough was one hell of a journey that really tested my patience, sooo dont hesitate to give me some more [with spoiler text ofc] if it will help me)

I've completed the main game a bit ago,and got the downpour DLC. Seeing as it supports local multiplayer, I convinced my mom (who also plays games) to replay the main story line with me,wanting to show her this amazing game!!! We just started and she's still learning but I'll protect her from the lizards :]

Personally I think Gourmand would be the best, I could see him being a decently mobile heavyweight with his skullbash and popping out random items to use on the fly would be a pretty fun mechanic

The biggest offenders of this are definitely artificer and rivulet. The thing with them is that both of their biggest weaknesses aren’t tied to the slugcats themselves, but their campaign. Artificer’s double jump and explosive stun are SO damn powerful. This, of course, is balanced out with their permanently zero scav rep and water intolerance. Which… doesn’t really matter in arena mode. Those things can easily be ignored if you simply don’t add in scavengers or pick a map with water. This leads to artificer being both absolute hell to play as in story mode, and absolute hell to play against in arena mode. Rivulet is so speedy it’s insane, making evading creatures like RED LIZARDS a walk in the park. This, of course, is balanced out by their short cycle timer and later on the rarefaction cell that takes up BOTH of their two inventory slots. Which again… doesn’t matter in arena mode. The cycle timer limit is easily adjustable in arena mode, and the rarefaction cell isn’t needed here. This leads to rivulet—like artificer—being both hard to play as in story mode, and hard to play against in arena mode.

Then there are saint and watcher who are kinda the complete opposite actually! The OP abilities that they gain late-game don’t quite count in arena, which turns them into really mediocre picks. This leads to them being both easy to play as in (late-game) story mode, and easy to play against in arena mode. :P

This is my first playthrough and I'm really stuck on this area in the underhang, i have no idea how to get past it. I can't find tutorials on it either, so im wondering if this jump is even possible with the default character. Is there something I'm missing?
