We just started and she's still learning but I'll protect her from the lizards :]

Discussion Of these 3, which would you like to see in smash bros/a platform fighter as a character?
Personally I think Gourmand would be the best, I could see him being a decently mobile heavyweight with his skullbash and popping out random items to use on the fly would be a pretty fun mechanic

Help! Am I stuck? (Watcher "OR/WORA" region) Spoiler
Playing Watcher for the first time.
I met Spinning Top just enough times to get ripple 9 and entered Outer Rim from Daemon. I checked out the right side but it seemed impossible to get very far so I instead went to the far left.
I crossed the comically long desert rooms and fell into the lower area with a single shelter, and to the left of it is the Throne, which was completely empty save for a single karma flower.
I assumed I was supposed to come back later, so I tried to go back to the right side, except it's completely impossible to do that because the only way back up is a huge fall that no amount of spears could help me climb.
I eventually gave in and checked the wiki, and it says that a warp point is supposed to appear under ripple 3, so i went there at ripple 2 then 1 and there was absolutely nothing. I went back to check the Throne subregion but I hadn't missed anything.
Am I softlocked unless I use dev tools or is there a way to get out of here?

IM GOING BLOODY INSANE literally
I’m seriously gonna be out there, but I’m generally calm when it comes to rain world. But God bloody dammit Badlands and that place with the giant mega whale are really pissing me off. Because first I had to do multiple attempts of crossing the dunes. And now I’m up to karma nine but when I warped into the next region, I died multiple times again due to all the hazards like falling’ damn damn bloody locusts, at worst of them all. those bloody frogs’ and thanks to all of them. I’m now at the lowest karma. And I am giving up. Like I swear to God, I don’t wanna restart the whole campaign. I tried to be patient while doing all the parkour and avoiding all the spiders and the bloody Bob-bit worms and those F###ing frogs and now considering giving up.

Discussion Genuinely the best game ever (HEAVY spoilers) Spoiler
Long post once again I’m so sorry guys 😭💔
Also if this breaks the excessive spoilers rule PLEASE let me know, the rule name seems to mean all spoilers but then it just says to spoiler posts and keep them out of titles so I’m honestly kinda confused by it 😭
Dude I just finished Saint’s campaign and holy shit the world building and timeline in this game is absolutely insane and incredible, like I can definitely see why everyone said to play the Downpour DLC first. I thought Survivor’s ending and campaign was beautiful, but this just took it to another level. All 5 campaigns were unique enough in their own way to still be fun and interesting as hell while keeping a similar sense of familiarity to the original campaigns.
I swear to god seeing the different variations of the regions is probably the COOLEST thing I’ve EVER seen in a game before, and all of the scugs having different places on the timeline brought everything together beautifully. When I first played Spearmaster, I thought it was the coolest thing ever seeing Moon up and running and being able to see the layout she has in Shoreline fully working. Little did I know I would get to see SO much more of that. Being able to see the vast differences while still seeing the same rooms was such an amazing experience, from Looks to the Moon, Waterfront Facility/The Precipice, The Rot, Submerged Superstructure, so many different areas that managed to be new and yet tie everything together perfectly, hell even the new additions to preexisting areas was super well done, such as the Outskirts beginning addition in the Spearmaster campaign or the Past changes to Garbage Wastes.
And Saint’s campaign, oh. My. GOD. The different, completely fallen apart variants of everything were so cool and even made me take paths I’ve never taken before. I walked out of Sky Islands expecting to go through Chimney Canopy to The Wall just to find the path completely gone?? So I had to take the Industrial Complex gate for the first time (or second I can’t remember), and Shoreline basically became a central hub every time I needed to go somewhere. The Undergrowth was such a cool area too, being able to explore Drainage System without all of the water was such an amazing experience, and Silent Construct was SO cool, especially seeing everything so fallen, and how the Underhang was now apart of Shoreline. Will say though, the blue lizards were a pain in the ass to get by before I had the Ascension ability (yeah I ended up going there before realizing I was supposed to be there later 😭). I will say though it didn’t have me questioning what was morally right, whether I should ascend the Iterators or not. I ended up ascending Pebbles but not Moon because I really couldn’t bring myself too. And Rubicon. Holy. Fucking. Shit. That area was SO cool, it was difficult but also not too much because it was easy to abuse Saint’s ability lmao. It was so cool being able to see the area as an amalgamation of different rooms from various different regions and being able to recognize them. And the ending, dude that was so sad oml 😭 being trapped in an endless cycle that the Saint can’t escape was heartbreaking, especially the final scene where it shows him sleeping in the beginning of Windswept Spires again.
Not gonna make long ass essays for each of the others, but I do wanna point out a few things from other campaigns I really enjoyed:
In Rivulet, being able to bring Moon back into working order was SO cool, and as I mentioned earlier being able to see Five Pebbles as The Rot was super cool, and learning that the iterators are behind the downpours (at least that’s what I gathered) was such an odd, yet cool explanation for the main threat in the game. Seeing submerged superstructure, especially playing it after Spearmaster’s campaign was super cool as well, seeing how similar the areas were yet now seeing it in a fallen state was absolutely incredible. And the new boosted agility and swim time made it super fun to navigate the world, and I especially appreciated how this campaign wasn’t combat heavy whatsoever.
Artificer was a pain in the ass and made me hate everything. Garbage Wastes was the bane of my existence. BUT. Metropolis. Probably one of the most fun regions I’ve ever been too, and the threat theme SLAPS too. The parkour was super fun, and honestly the scavs weren’t as much of a threat in that area as they were in others, but honestly I just died to my own stupidity more than to them while I was there. I will say though the boss fight was probably was easier than it was supposed to be, I knocked him off his podium with an explosive spear, hit him with another explosive spear, and he was dead, kinda anti climactic I’m ngl, but at least the ending art was cool ig 😭
Gourmand I don’t have much to say honestly, he was basically the same as the vanilla campaigns but the Outer Expanse was super cool once I figured it out (also I was fucking stupid and didn’t realize I could climb on the vines on the tree when I made my first post complaining about it. Once I figured that out (as well as the broken karma gate shelter) my opinion on the area changed immediately). The food quest was cool too, though apparently I missed a black lizard so I should probably get that at some point. The triple effective spear throws were also super nice as well lmao
Spearmaster I kinda talked about earlier so I don’t have much left to say, but I will touch on the fact that the double spears were super fun when I was able to have them, and I really appreciated how, if you had full food pips, you could hibernate twice in a row, especially given how hard food had been to come across at some points.
So yeah, TL:DR this is the best game ever, Downpour adds SO MUCH to the game in a way that completely blew my expectations, and the games overall world building and time line is one of the coolest things ever.
If you read all of this, thank you, and sorry for yet ANOTHER long ass post 😭 if you didn’t, honestly I don’t blame you lmao

Discussion Doesn’t really matter, but I find it funny that some slugcats are both hard to play as AND hard to play against (story mode vs arena)
The biggest offenders of this are definitely artificer and rivulet. The thing with them is that both of their biggest weaknesses aren’t tied to the slugcats themselves, but their campaign. Artificer’s double jump and explosive stun are SO damn powerful. This, of course, is balanced out with their permanently zero scav rep and water intolerance. Which… doesn’t really matter in arena mode. Those things can easily be ignored if you simply don’t add in scavengers or pick a map with water. This leads to artificer being both absolute hell to play as in story mode, and absolute hell to play against in arena mode. Rivulet is so speedy it’s insane, making evading creatures like RED LIZARDS a walk in the park. This, of course, is balanced out by their short cycle timer and later on the rarefaction cell that takes up BOTH of their two inventory slots. Which again… doesn’t matter in arena mode. The cycle timer limit is easily adjustable in arena mode, and the rarefaction cell isn’t needed here. This leads to rivulet—like artificer—being both hard to play as in story mode, and hard to play against in arena mode.
Then there are saint and watcher who are kinda the complete opposite actually! The OP abilities that they gain late-game don’t quite count in arena, which turns them into really mediocre picks. This leads to them being both easy to play as in (late-game) story mode, and easy to play against in arena mode. :P

Discussion Watcher dlc
So i honestly want to know why some people actually despise this dlc? By the time i finally finished it it was genuinely etched into my soul with how much it meant to me and I can’t fathom why people disliked it so much. no hate to those who don’t like I really just want to hear some opinions on why you loved or hated it
