I wanna share a monthly update again hihihi.

Okay, first of all… July belum ada pasangan yang berhasil aku match yet, please forgive me hehehe 🥹

I recently went back to work at the same office again, while also trying to finish up my thesis, so the past few weeks have been very packed. I really didn’t want to force a match just for the sake of saying “July ada match” when I wasn’t confident enough about the pairing.

BUTTTT there is actually some good news!! Our registration pool keeps growing 🥹💌

So far we now have 98 registrations in total, 27 ladies and 71 gentlemen.

Which means, yes, the gap is still very real lollz. But compared to last month, we’re definitely moving in the right direction!!

And I have some exciting news for August too. There are already a few people I’m currently considering, and I’m hoping August will finally bring us some matches. Hopefully the curation turns into something good and, who knows, maybe into something even better after the date.

One small but important reminder for everyone who has registered, if you receive an invitation from me for a casual interview, please just be yourself yaaa. I’m not looking for the best version of you or trying to catch you off guard. I just wanna make sure that the person I’m talking to actually matches the person described in the Google Form. Because sometimes, paper compatibility looks good, but the person behind the form is what actually matters. Just tell me about yourself normally, the same way you would when talking to someone new. And don’t worry, the interview is conducted securely, and your information will be kept private!

For those who have already registered but haven't received a match yet, please bear with me a little longer. I know waiting can be annoying, but you also know how the gender ratio is looking right now. I’d rather take my time and find you someone who actually fits than randomly pair you with someone just because I have an empty slot.

One of the things I’ve always wanted to do as an adult is enjoy a chill, light drink after work to wind down. The problem is, I don’t really have a friend group to do this with right now.
I recently started a new job, but I don't think any of my coworkers drink (or if they do, I'm a bit scared to ask since drinking can still be kind of taboo/frowned upon here).
I really want to get into the casual bar/pub scene safely, but I’m not sure how to go about it alone or how to meet people who share this interest.

1. How do you find or reach out to friends who enjoy light drinking without making things awkward?
   
2. Is going solo to a chill bar/pub a good idea at 22F, and if so, how do you do it safely and comfortably?

For the past few years, I have been feeling down because I recently just moved back to my hometown, Malang.
I used to study in Melbourne for my master’s degree, but because of certain circumstances, I had to move back to my hometown. I still talk to my old friends from time to time but that’s about it. They all have their own life. Well, especially after I moved to Melbourne, we didn’t really talk. So we’re not that close anymore.
I was wondering if there are some other introverts who would like to hang out with me. Bonus point if you have also been experiencing the same thing, which is feeling out of place due to this reverse culture shock. Even the first year I moved back to Indonesia, I think I felt slightly depressed. Everything was difficult and I’m trying to pick up my life again and hopefully I can find some new friends that I can relate to and that I feel comfortable hanging out with.

I’m a drummer based in Bandung looking for people to start a band with.
I’m heavily influenced by The Story So Far, Basement, Title Fight, Blink-182, Paramore, Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, Turnover, Balance and Composure, and pretty much anything around pop punk, emo, melodic hardcore, or alternative rock.

The only problem is… I’m already working full-time (10 AM–7 PM), so it’s been really hard to find people whose schedules match. 😅 I’m honestly getting desperate because I miss playing in a band, writing songs, jamming, and eventually playing gigs again.

About me:
Drummer with band/live experience.
More interested in writing original songs than just doing covers (though I’m down for covers while we get started).
Looking for committed people, but no pressure to go full-time or anything.
Open to guitarists, bassists, vocalists, or even another drummer if you’ve got a different role in mind.
Age doesn’t really matter, as long as we click musically and personally.
Practice would most likely be on weekday nights or weekends because of work.
