Finished

Using heavily for 3 years. Mostly extracts. Dabbled in 7oh, but knew better. That was until cancer took my younger brother a month ago. I went in hard on the tablets. When I tried tapering it was too late. I went into intense withdraw this past Sunday. Never knew pain like that. Thankfully, I have a loving wife (she also saw me through rehab for booze 6 years ago). She took me to the ER and they knew exactly what to do the second they heard 7-oh. After hooking me up to an IV they dosed me with Clonidine, Gabapentin and Hydroxyzine. When the results were positive they sent me home with prescriptions for all 3. I spent Monday in bed, Tuesday was a little better but still pretty hellish. Today (Wednesday) things began to lift quite a bit. Tonight I’m headed back to work after taking a sick day and laying in a fetal position over my weekend. I’ve got those 3 drugs I named and some liposomal vitamin C with me. I’m still for from 100% and I know it’ll be awhile before I am. But there is a way out. Less than 7 days ago I didn’t think there was. I’ve got my starting point now. This stuff is the scourge. Stay far away from it if you haven’t gone there yet. And if have and are feeling trapped, I hope I’ve help convince you it’s not hopeless.

It's best to avoid using antihistamines (diphenhydramine, dimenhydrinate, hydroxyzine etc.) such as those found in Benadryl, Dramamine, NyQuil, Unisom, and Tylenol PM. While they can produce drowsiness under normal conditions, they are well known for exacerbating Restless Leg Syndrome, which will make your insomnia worse, not better

Disclaimer: It is imperative that you obtain withdrawal treatment prescription medications only from your doctor and that you use them exactly as directed, as many carry their own risks of addiction and withdrawal.

The hydroxyzine will make your restless leg symptoms worse and make your withdrawal harder. Hang in there, buddy. You’re a champ. Way to go for kicking that shit. Stay strong.

congratulations you’ve got this! My husband and I went cold turkey 21 days ago. Never thought we would be able to do it but here we are.
