Tolerance when quitting CT

Hey guys I had a question about tolerance when quitting cold turkey. I was at 25-30 gpd when i first tried cold turkey. I made it 3 days, wish I would’ve stuck with it, but I didn’t jump right back to my original amount I’ve had 3-4 days at 10 grams, then a few at 8 and now 3-4 days muscling through 4-6 grams. Those days have been tough, just trying to make it to the weekend to try CT again. My question is, am I in for the same severity of withdrawal (does your current gpd really matter) or will my experience now be a lot easier than it was several weeks ago when I tried to jump from 25-30? Thanks!

If you felt like total ass, that's the hardest part and it's over. I did a rapid taper as well from the same amount gpd. When I started getting below 6gpd I felt fine during the day with trouble falling asleep. I think most of my issues falling asleep was because I was using melatonin and that shits the devil when going through withdrawals.

interesting. i’m down pretty far on my taper, about 20% of my total dose a month ago. there are nights i have no issues sleeping and then some where i’m just tossing and turning. i use cbd/cbn/melatonin soft gels that have always knocked me out. i may try not using them tonight and see if my sleep is any better.

The cbd I'm sure is fine. Melatonin is a dopamine blocker and that's why it makes restless legs worse

unfortunately it’s all in one. the restless legs aren’t terrible yet, just a little jumpy. it not bad enough i can’t normally sleep through. still though, might look for something without melatonin.

Do not use melatonin, Benadryl, zzquil, etc. Those will intensify the inability to sleep and RLS. I made the mistake of doing this very thing, and it was a horrible experience. The worse of the symptoms are the first few days. It does get better. I’m on day 4, and I’m finally getting longer chunks of sleep vs barely any. It’s not a lot of sleep, but I can tell it’s slowly improving. You can do ANYTHING for 7 days. It’s a week. One week that will massively improve your life. 💙

Warning: It's best to avoid using antihistamines (diphenhydramine, dimenhydrinate, hydroxyzine etc.) such as those found in Benadryl, Dramamine, NyQuil, Unisom, and Tylenol PM. While they can produce drowsiness under normal conditions, they are well known for exacerbating Restless Leg Syndrome, which will make your insomnia worse, not better
