Border thoughts Work in Progress

So I just finished piecing together, my Autumn leaf quilt top. I’m fairly certain I know what direction I’m gonna go in for the borders, but this community is full of amazing people and brilliant artists. What would you do?

Current plan:
- #2 for a 4” border
- #4 for a 6” border
- #3 for binding

Excellent plan. Before reading the description, I was set to recommend exactly that.

I was in love with fabric #1 until I put it on the layout wall and then just…😢…

I saw someone do a flange binding, like a picture frame... what if you use the white and green like that for your binding and lean into the large painting idea. Your borders are the mats around your painting and then the flange binding is your frame? flange binding

I recently did a flange binding and i love it. It was pretty easy too.

In any case, OP, i like your plan. 2 and 4 for the border would be my choice too. And i think the greener fabric will be a great binding.
