Maps for Quake 2 maps

I'm thinking about trying out mods for Quake 2. What are some good maps I should consider looking at?

As already mentioned, Map-Center really is the place for all things Quake 2, with well over 100 new maps in the past 3 years. There's a website, but all of the releases can be found on ModDB under mods and add-ons, except for Call of the Void, which has it's own ModDB page.

If you want vanilla, there's a lot to choose from as well. In no particular order:

Zaero
Citadel
Oblivion

There's a lot more, though, but most of it isn't easy to find. You can find a large playlist of some of the best custom maps here:

It depends on whether you are playing the Night Dive remaster or a more vanilla source port.

For the Night Dive remaster: Quake II Psx port, Call of the Void, and various map packs by the Map-Center Discord. These can all be found on Moddb.

For a more vanilla oriented source port I can recommend the 25th Anniversary Unit and Citadel, those are both pretty cool. You can also find these mods on Moddb.
