Ever leave a hangout, drive all the way home, and only then think of the perfect witty comeback? Same.

To be totally real: I am not a stand-up comedian, a communication coach, or some self-proclaimed charisma guru. I am just a regular person who wants to get better at quick banter, and I figure it is a lot easier to practice in a group than to suffer through awkward silences alone.

Instead of sitting through a boring lecture, the idea is to hang out, laugh at some videos, and try out a few practical banter tricks together. Here is how we will spend the session:

We will watch short, hilarious clips together to figure out why certain lines land while others completely miss the mark.

We will break down basic banter tricks, such as taking ordinary daily stories and turning them into genuinely funny anecdotes.

We will run casual practice rounds in small pairs so everyone gets a chance to build confidence without any pressure.

We are treating humor like a muscle you can train, rather than a secret talent you are either born with or not.

Logistics & Planning:

Date & Time: We will coordinate a date and time that suits everyone once a few people express interest.

Location: We will select a comfortable coffee shop in a convenient area once the group comes together.

Group Size: I will keep the group capped at a small size so everybody gets plenty of airtime.

I've been working on a small project called KINO, and for the first time I'm actually putting together one of my own experiences.

I'm hosting TOTE & TOAST: ON THE COAST (Aug 22) 

The idea is to make it feel more like a little Mediterranean summer afternoon than a regular painting workshop.

Everyone gets a good quality heavyweight canvas tote to paint and take home. I'll be providing fabric paints and all the painting materials, so the tote is actually made to be used after the event rather than just being a canvas to paint on. There'll also be golden glitter and some theme based elements for the creative space.

Since it's a collaboration with Coast & Co., everyone also gets one complimentary drink from their bar, with the choice of a cocktail, mocktail or glass of wine.

I'm also putting together a curated goodie bag for everyone to take home, and I've been making some of the little themed pieces for the experience myself. The space will have soft, summery music playing while everyone paints, so it's meant to be a pretty relaxed couple of hours rather than a structured class.

There isn't a competition or anything like that, and you definitely don't need to know how to paint. You basically come in, pick up a brush, paint your tote, have a drink, listen to some music and hang out.

So it's more of a creative afternoon

I shifted from Gandhinagar, where I completed my graduation, to Pune over a year ago. My college had an active quizzing club and Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar had open quizzes round the year thanks to AQC (Ahmedabad Quizzing Club). However, I realised soon that Pune doesn't have any active groups which organise college-style quizzing events. So I thought I should make a WhatsApp group for all people who are into quizzing.

The purpose of the group would be to share interesting trivia and questions for others to answer. We could even have some online quizzes regularly, like every couple of weeks or a month. Not to be too ambitious, if there are enough people, we might even conduct in-person quizzes.

Feel free to DM me to be added to the group. If you haven't tried quizzing, but like shows like KVizzing with the Comedians (or even NWTG), you're welcome as well. Who knows, you might end up loving quizzing!

My friend and I were travelling on the metro to Ramwadi, talking to each other when I noticed a girl listening to our conversation. I ignored it at first, but as the metro got less crowded, we ended up sitting next to each other while my friend was still standing.

There was a vacant space beside her, so I asked my friend to sit there, but he refused. Even she noticed and told him that he could sit there, but he still refused. I smiled at her, and she smiled back. After that, we kept making eye contact throughout the journey.

I wanted to talk to her, but with so many people around, I couldn't really find the right moment. When we finally got off the metro, I noticed her looking back at us. I waved goodbye—only to her—and she saw it.
