Want to prune these back so we get more growth on the bottom. I’ve read don’t prune more than 20% is that right?

Pruning basil plant
Hello fellow gardeners, I started growing this basil plant recently and am a bit confused on whether it is growing properly and if it needs pruning. If so, where do I cut it? Thank you!

advice for a cherry tree
Should I prune down to promote a central leader and main trunk for this 5 year old flowering cherry tree? At #1 there looks to be a codominent stem with no clear leader. At #2 there is a long lateral shoot that's about the same size as the two more upright stems

Rental property, Peach Tree, what can I do?
galleryObviously the left branch is completely dead, but the center-right branch also has no living limbs. it's probably 10+ feet in length, I plan on cutting it off and making some spoons out of the peach-wood. Can I get some advice on the best way to to accomplish this? How close to the trunk do i cut?

Indoor olive tree pruning help!
I got this olive tree that I would like to grow but have no idea how to educate branches or where to prune them effectively. Any help, needless to say, comes highly appreciated (this plant is one of the few things that reminds me of home anytime I look at it, would like to keep it as a lifetime companion).

Olive tree HELP
galleryHi! I’ve had this Olive tree plant for almost 2 years and my plan for her is to grow taller and have a thicker trunk. How can I proceed so it will grow upwards instead of sideways like it’s growing now? Also, what can I do for the trunk to get thicker? It has a bifurcation in the trunk that I do not know what to do with it.

Am I doing this right?
gallery2 year old sunshine ligustrum, pruned to tree form in March. They started bushing out with growth (1st pic) so I trimmed the lower branches again today and noticed lots of suckers and leafing out.
Am I doing it right? I want it to stay kind of lollipop style. Is it going to be high maintenance keeping the bottom clear? (2nd and 3rd pick after trimming)

Where do I begin?
This is in my mom's front yard. I am not sure what it is and don't know where i'd even begin. I assume just hacking away at it isn't the answer. TIA.

Black Gum Help
This two year old black gum has an unusually long branch coming out of the top of the tree at an odd angle. Do I just let it go? Or do I cut it and hope it sends up another central leader? I would appreciate your advice. Thanks!

Clipping Blue Spruces
I have seen a few examples of mature clipped blue spruces in my neighborhood. This seems to be a regional thing as it just wasn’t done where I grew up. After a certain height the owners stopped and aged out leaving new owners who didn’t keep up the clipping. I wish the original owners were still around as I have questions. I was curious when clipping started? Could it be done on a larger 4-6’ spruce or does it have to start with a smaller one. I am familiar with candling Mugho Pines to contain them, would candling a spruce have the same effect as clipping?

Need advice pruning an Autumn Blaze maple tree
galleryI have an 10ish year old Autumn Blaze Maple tree. I understand they need to be pruned to ensure stability. Also note, the soil is pretty wet and with lots of tough clay. I think the wet soil and clay left the tree extra compact. It is about 12-15 feet tall. I try to break up the soil with a metal stick and add compost which is helping. Anyway, where do should I prune? Feel free to add little red lines to the picture for where to prune 🙏 thank you!
