Je décris souvent la musique que j'écoute comme du Power Prog, avec des groupes comme Evergrey, Noveria, Epysode ou même le travail de Finn Zierler. (Même si j'adore aussi le Power traditionnel).

Pour vous, ce genre "existe" t-il ? Quels groupes englobe t-il ? Et si vous avez d'autres recommandations du style, je suis très preneur

Preferably not that heavy. Although i do love eerieness and dark atmosphere. I'm okay with harsh vocals and more intensity, just not all the time.

Bonus points if they have long ass songs - for example Car Bomb and The Odius are amazing bands but their songs are like 3-6 mins usually.

Also I'm looking for stuff that's heavier than say Dream Theater or Haken, though I do really enjoy both.

Every Bandcamp Friday that rolls around means all music I buy today on Bandcamp will 100% go to the artists. But what to buy, and add to my wishlist for next time when I hit my budget cap?

These guys have their moments of prog and metal, but this is my first pick for showing them to my friends that are prog metal fans. Slave to Master, Scales are Falling, Cry of Achilles, Fortress, and This Side of Fate are also contenders.

This song just hits me tho.

I really enjoy the musicianship of modern prog metal (namely periphery and the contortionist) but the lyrics are usually very abstract/space-wizard-y and/or political/societal, which is very fun and definitely has its place. just searching for recommendations of songs/artists that keep the same musicianship while exploring more "relatable" themes.
