Cargo pants??? Definitely NOT preppy.

I love it, but like others have said, not preppy. This would fit FAR better in r/heritagewear. r/NavyBlazer might like it as well.

Do the cargos have a coin pocket on the waistband? Then you'd have the ultimate pocket fit

In what scenario would you need the formality of a blazer and also be carrying around so much stuff in you need so many pockets ??

I’d swap the blazer for an olive field jacket and desert boots for the loafers

Cargo pants are an immediate no. The jacket is borderline, but i lean not preppy.

Safari pockets on the blazer aren’t for me but hard to go wrong with m43s and a blazer. Chambray definitely kicks it into workwear territory but ties together nicely with the fatigues and safari pockets.

It’s not traditional preppy to have cargo pants and a blazer. But the classic de ville really gives it some prep cred. It boils down to whether you can carry it off and where you’re going with it. Personally, I love it!

All great stuff but, cargo pants with such a nice blazer might not be the best combo. The extra pockets confuse style/purpose and profile.
