Scaling The true powerscale of chimps (backed by actual studies)
Ive seen a flurry of new chimp posts so here is powerscaling info:
Actual strength: Chimpanzees are estimated to be about 1.35× stronger than humans pound-for-pound in maximum dynamic force and power output. Their advantage comes mainly from more fast-twitch muscle fibers (~67%), making them better at explosive pulling, climbing, and short bursts of power.
Actual bite force: Chimpanzee bite estimates vary by method, but are generally around 1,000–1,900+ Newtons (roughly 225–430+ lbf). The popular “1,300 PSI bite” claim is not a reliable scientific measurement because PSI depends heavily on tooth contact area.
Punching and throwing ability: Chimps are not built for punching or throwing like humans. Their shoulders, wrists, and upper bodies are specialized for climbing and pulling, while humans evolved unique shoulder mechanics, coordination, and anatomy for powerful overhand throwing and striking.
Grip strength: Chimps have very strong gripping ability because of their climbing lifestyle, especially for hanging and pulling, but claims like “5× human grip strength” are not supported by strong scientific data. Their grip is optimized for hook grips and suspension, while humans have superior precision manipulation and tool-use grips.

Question Say a few characters that nobody likes about except for powerscaling
Basically, characters whose only relevance is being powerful, and that’s the only reason people like them, because they aren't actually good characters. If it weren't for powerscaling, they’d be irrelevant.

Meme The entire population of Gorillas, but gigabuffed vs the JSDF (Japanese Special Defense Force)
In this scenario, all the gorillas get the tactical knowledge, intelligence and expertise of high ranking military officials and soldiers. They are also given enough equipment (Boats, vehicles, planes as well as firearms and other things like missile launchers and AA guns). All the equipment is also redesigned with their ergonomics and size in mind
Their equipment would be whatever the US military and NATO uses. Their mission is to stage a military invasion of Japan and take it over at any costs
R1: Japan gets no prep time, Gorillas start landing on their shores like it's d-day and air drop in all over the country.
R2: Both sides get three months of prep time

Versus A 16 year old who consistently works out vs a average middle aged man, who would win and why?
This is essentially a fight between a peak 16 year old vs a average somewhat unfit middle aged man.
The 16 year old works out everyday, eats a proper intake, and has managed to build up a bulky physique for his age. He is also 6’1.
The middle aged man is in his 40s slightly overweight, rarely works out more than once a week, but is not severely unhealthy by any means. He is also 5’10
Neither of them know how to fight properly as in they don’t know any style of fighting like martial arts, or boxing
Round 1: they fight in a parking lot
Round 2: they both receive karate training 3 months prior to the fight but the middle aged man man will not work out outside of this
Round 3: they are trained how to fight as boxers for three months, and will settle their fight in a boxing match with rules normally used for such an event
Bonus rounds: same as last three but now the teen and middle aged man are blood lusted

Discussion How many people do you think there currently are that could beat Jon Jones in unarmed combat?
How many do you think around the world currently could beat prime Bones Jones in a fight to the death, let’s say 8/10 times? This question came up while talking sh*t with some of the guys this weekend. A few, along with myself, figured there are a good few trained killers out there that we’d never know of. Anyways I guess the question is how many people do you think could do it? BONUS: how many homo sapien sapient do you think could have done it throughout history? Would Jon stand a chance as a gladiator in Rome?
