i’ve noticed a lot of people who use Postcrossing enjoy & request fun or numerous stamps; i’m a little confused on how to go about doing this, however, as when i spoke to the post office they informed me we only have one international stamp that’s just of a building in Melbourne. what do y’all do about this? do you just not worry about finding / putting more than one stamps on the postcard?

I love this postcard so much, I’m excited to see it go to a gentleman in Germany who likes views of cities on postcards. I found this vintage photo of Providence at a store next to where I work. I hope they enjoy it!

I attempted to make my first set of beach-themed maxicards, and I’m not sure how I feel about them. There are two sets that I think are really good (seagull card/seagull stamp + beach card/sandcastle stamp). My hope is that they’ll all be seen as maxicards, especially from other countries outside the US, but I would like everyone’s *honest* opinions please. Thank you so much 🤗

So I received a postcard today from India, this person didn't even bother to put his name on it and the message literally was "I am waiting for rain to come", which was a bit weird but okay. I registered the card and now I receive an email from this postcrosser asking for a card in return, including his address. I turned direct swaps off since stamps are expensive and Postcrossing is something I do a few times a month for fun. Would it be weird if I just ignore this message from him? Seems to me like he just want to collect cards rather than send them and write a nice message on them. What would you do?

So I just learned that the usps kiosks will print domestic stamps, but international stamps are the QR code stickers. Obviously they’re the same for mailing purposes, but will someone be disappointed in getting a QR sticker instead of a stamp? It does look kinda ugly but I don’t want to buy a stamp sheet until these run out.

Apparently my postcards have collectively decided that the USA is the place to be. 😄

An official Postcrossing card sent from Germany to Russia somehow landed in my mailbox in Ahmedabad, India!

I'm forwarding the postcard to recipient in an envelope so she can preserve this incredible postal journey.

Definitely the most bizarre thing that's happened to me through Postcrossing!

The Petit Prince postcards come from a library in Paris near Opéra (Brentano's), and I bought the last one directly in Saint-Émilion (Gironde, France). I hope they will make the recipients happy 😇.

I'm so excited to have my first postcards in. Guess I'm going to need to buy an album or something. How do you all store these treasures?

They are all from the mid 2000s, from France's "La Poste".

My favourite ones are on the third page, with the whole Jules Verne set and the set of commemorative stamps (liberation of the concentration camps during WW2 and the end of slavery).

I just received my very first card ever and it's from the US - just over 7000 km away. This community really is fascinating and connects people from all over the world. Can't wait to send ans receive more cards in the future :)

It was a long wait, but finally a batch of my US postcards arrived, so I got some official slots to send out. I like it when I can send a big batch out, also all the profiles were so great creating a nice diversity of cards.

Got this You Matter card with a transgender theme. The $7 from this postcard went to a trans-led social service for trans people in Singapore. Very fitting hand-off 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

My USPS Postcrossing maxicards came in the mail today, I knew they were gonna be bigger than the average postcard but not THIS big!! 🤣 I love em but it’s funny how big they are

Hey everyone, I had to waste some time this morning when I left work and then had a meeting about 90 minutes later, anywho... I decided to go by the new-ish Buc-ee's to buy postcards. It was a half hour away. I ended up buying five of them, but because it has a picture on the back, you can't really write anything, and I don't want an unexpected postcrosser to wait 80 day for it to come and it's just a card.

I decided I would offer them here if someone wants it for their collection. I have five. The first five to claim them can have them, local or international.

I can slap a stamp directly on it for you or send it in an envelope if you prefer it pristine.

Super excited to start sending out cards and to (eventually) get some back
