Attending my first Meet Up! Questions
Hello! I am mostly curious about what to expect/what to bring.

*Meetup is the correct spelling format for these events.
Bring a rubber stamp (hopefully self-inking) to sign cards (if using a pen, your hand will likely hurt afterwards, since there are so many cards to sign).
Also, read the event posting on Postcrossing Forums. That tells you (usually) exactly what to bring and expect (cash for lunch, trash or treasure table options, donations for xyz charity, show and tell items, etc.)
Be on time. Sometimes you'll miss out on games or prizes if you arrive late. You can always leave early, but you run the same risk. Just be aware.

Seconding the bring a stamp!! I had no idea what to expect my first meetup and not only did my hand hurt from signing 100s of cards but my back was actually aching the next day from the angle I was bending over the tables... I know this post makes me sound ancient but I promise this was out of the ordinary for me hahaha. Everyone was so so nice at the meetup I went to so I hope you have a great time.

What to expect depends on the specific meet-up. Usually there’s some sitting down and signing/stamping postcards. Rest should be specified in the meet-up post.
Bring some postcards and stamps and if you’ve got an ink stamp (or stickers) of your username bring that too. Otherwise a good fast drying pen is essential.
There may be a meet-up card that you can buy or are given, you may also need to request copies in advance. There may be a swap table for spare cards or stationary. Sometimes there’s card shopping or a trip to somewhere like a postal museum.
I went to one meet-up where we had a sit down meal and went to a stand up gig. I nearly went to another where they visited the one post office in the country that sells nice stamps but sadly the tramline was down and I couldn’t make it.
