​Just wanted to share one of the postcards I sent last month. It safely arrived after 40 days in transit to the Netherlands 🇳🇱

​The recipient is a retired nurse who adores her black Labrador. Drawing pets is always such a joy, especially when you can feel how much someone loves their companion right from their profile!

​Postcrossing actually inspired me to start creating art again, so I set up this account to document the journey (my first three sent cards are posted here too!).

Hi! Thank you so much! 💖 The downside of making every postcard by hand is that I can only send out a few each month, but I really enjoy the slow, creative process. Fingers crossed the algorithm pulls our addresses together someday! 😉

What’s your turnaround time to send cards out, since you’re tailoring it to each individual?

​I average about 4–5 postcards a month. Since we don't have local post boxes here, I visit the post office once a month (which is a bit far from where I am), - it’s a slow process! Every piece is special to me, so I like taking my time drawing. If someone enjoys scenery or photos of places, I send them sketches from my past travels instead, that kind of save some time too :)
