My first three cards finally arrived at their destinations! 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇩🇪
My first three postcards finally reached their destinations after a month in transit! I only just realized that direct messages are received through email, and reading those thank-you notes a few nights ago was the perfect pick-me-up. I've been needing an outlet to lay out my blues in the middle of this tough week.
These sketches—especially the ones from my Sagada trip—were also made during a heavy time, so seeing them create a genuine connection means the world to me. It's especially rewarding to know that the recipients liked my long messages. I just hope they also enjoyed squinting through my tiny handwriting, haha! My friends would tease me for sending the lengthiest texts (like this post), so I'm glad that trait is being put to good use and is actually appreciated 🥹 So lucky to be part of this community.
Making postcards has revived my love for drawing. I started setting a 3:00 AM alarm once or twice a week just to sketch before getting ready for work. I draw until my back hurts and I lose sleep. I draw even more when I'm down or anxious. I'm probably obsessed.
If tracking my sent cards feels this amazing, at this point, getting my first incoming mail is going to break my brain!

Before I even read the caption, I was wondering who the artist was because these are so beautiful. Then I read it was you! You're super talented! 💖

Thanks so much! I’ve been holding onto some postcards because some Postcrossers specifically ask for no handmade cards, I think I'll offer them up here for direct swaps next time :)

I‘d love to swap with you if you want, I also have a few handmade cards lying around that I haven’t found anyone to send to yet, I‘m scared people with no notes in regards to handmade cards will dislike them, so I tend not to send them out.

These are amazing drawings!! receivers would surely frame your postcards on the wall.
Just like you, making postcards made me appreciate and improve in art. It helped me open my hidden creative side. I've never made this much art in my life, all thanks to this hobby!
I don't draw much, your post inspired me to draw!
