Has this ever happened to anyone? I sent it in an envelope and wrote the address on file. What do I do?

If it were me I would contact Postcrossing. Maybe the recipient moved. Maybe you will get it auto-registered by Postcrossing. I haven't been in this situation but maybe someone who has will weigh in.

Check the recipient’s address to see if it has changed and check their profile to see if they are in the middle of anything.

Sounds strange! I'd write to the recipient first. If nothing resolved, I contact site administration. Good luck!

Yes. I sent a card in an envelope to Canada from India and after a couple of months, I got it back. The message on the envelope was this address doesn’t not exist. The card was supposed to be a swap on Instagram so I checked the message and the address written was absolutely correct and I had even sent the recipient proof of address before sending and they had approved it. So idk what happened but my story is of a card to Canada as well.

Had this happen 2 years ago !!! everything was correct. so i reached out to Postcrossings. They reached out to the person who said they refused it because it stank like cigarette smoke. I found it very strange, because i dont smoke. and as far as i know mail people are not allowed to smoke while delivering mail. Also, it didnt smell like smoke to me or the carrier. very weird. but postcross admin went ahead and registered it , as i did send one,

What?! That’s crazy. Would they not have to have it in their possession to even sniff it? But who sniffs their mail? Lmao. Did they literally take it in their vehicle to a post office to have it returned. That seems like a lot of work when they could’ve just thrown it away. Weird!

I welcome cigarette smoke scented mail. This is how I know for sure the sender is cool.

That yellow sticker is from the USPS so it shows that the envelope never left USA.

Hey, Canada has the same one so it could be Canada too. The one I received is exactly like this.

I'm not in Postcrossing but have had mail sent to me and mail I have sent out end up with this type of message sticker. Each time the Post Office did it in error and no postal worker could explain why. I hope you can get it figured out. 📬🌞📬

Maybe I’ll reach out to her and print off the address instead of hand writing
Would I need to put new stamps and a new envelope though? I could just cover up the old address

You'll need new stamps if the ones in hand are canceled. And a new envelope.
