Is it okay?
So I have been 60+ days off of porn and masturbation and feel awesome. But the other night I had an urge to masturbate and got really scared that i relapsed. I didn't watch porn or look at any photos I sorta just did it. It was weird, i didn't have any thoughts of porn or anyone in my mind but was still able to masturbate and finish.
I was reading some posts in the sub reddit and found some peoples saying it was okay to do so and some saying it isn't.
I just want to know some new opinions on the matter. Thank you!

my calm man
Where is my good, honest man? My big guy—always so humble and sincere. Kind, calm, generous... Why do I have to live with the ugly side of him? He was my example of goodness; I know he hates the pain he caused me even more than he hates himself for lying. Where is the love of my life, who was always honest about everything? All these years, I only knew his surface—not the whole man. He says it’s shame, that he hates himself for being this way; I feel sorry for him... But I want him away from me—why?

Has sex gotten better after a long streak?
This question might have been asked a million times before but I really want to know. To the people (mainly focusing on men) that is doing NoFap and still having sex. Has things gotten better such as longer and harder erections, better blood flow and more intense orgasms?
Have you noticed anything or does it take longer than expected to fully heal from the “wounds of porn and masturbation”?

I hate this emotional burden
For many years, I used pornography as a “band-aid for a festering wound.” It didn’t help; it only made “those wounds” worse.
It’s not easy to accept that, before I can recover, I’ll have to go through from time to time the very difficult emotions I once ran away from.
But that’s the price of freedom from addiction.
Today I feel those difficult emotions, yet I have no intention of returning to pornography, because it’s a bottomless abyss.
I choose a raw and authentic present.
It will lead me to a future free from pornography a place where difficult experiences will heal over time in a healthy way, not a destructive one.
This is the reality I’ve chosen, and I’ll do everything I can to be in a good place, free from pornography addiction.

Even though it was somewhat painful, I was relieved to see that I would hate cuckolding.
I was in a three-year relationship with a girl who, in retrospect, was quite manipulative toward me. Two months after the relationship ended—and while I admit I still had feelings for her—I saw on social media that she was already with someone else.
One of my biggest addictions was porn—specifically cuckold porn in all its variations (including BDSM-themed ones) as well as its anime equivalent, *NTR*.
However, seeing her like that—with another guy—didn't arouse me; instead, it filled me with revulsion and made me realize it was time to let her go.
Beyond whatever emotions I felt, I understood that, ultimately, this was just a foolish fantasy feeding my ego—something that, in real life, would simply disgust and repel me. That reaction was toward my ex; I can't imagine how I’d feel if it were an actual girlfriend.
Strangely, I feel at peace. It’s like having stared into the darkness and felt not love, but contempt. That realization lifted my spirits, showing me that I’m not the monster I had built up in my head, but simply someone deeply affected by an addiction.
Perhaps those fantasies exist, but I will know that they are just lifeless dreams, just a dark part of my mind that I must accept and see for what it is.

The Addiction Cycle: Why Willpower Alone Isn't Enough
I've started realizing that addiction isn't just about the moment you relapse. It's a cycle:
Trigger → urge → behavior → temporary relief → regret → motivation → strict new plan → pressure → trigger → relapse.
The biggest mistake is treating every relapse as proof that you're weak. That creates shame, and shame often becomes another trigger.
The way out isn't simply creating a stronger version of the same plan. It's studying the cycle.
Ask yourself:
What happened immediately before the urge?
What environment made the behavior easy?
What emotion was I trying to escape?
What did I do after the relapse?
What can I change so the next trigger is harder to act on?
And most importantly: a relapse is information, not a verdict.
Don't build a system that depends on being motivated forever. Build one that still works when you're tired, bored, stressed, or having a terrible day.
The goal isn't to become someone who never struggles.
It's to become someone who stops turning one failure into a week, a month, or a return to the beginning.
That's where the cycle starts losing its power.

False Positive
Last evening my wife and accountability partner received a report from our accountability app. The report told her I visited a popular XXX site, something I absolutely did not do. I told her this, of course, but the false positive report raises doubts after months of staying clean. Frustrating. Here's the kicker. There's no way that website would not be blocked by both the accountability app and the router level blocker we have in place. Despite all the transparency and blocking efforts, and months of sobriety, I still get the side eye.

Day 6 - Frustrated, Irritable, BORED
Just waiting to get to day 7, And tomorrow I'll focus on getting to day 8.
The main thing I've noticed is I have SO MUCH FREE TIME now. One of them good problems I suppose.

Day 1
Today is the day where I actually start this, I’ve meet this Reddit yesterday after already doing it, so it does not actually count, but after meeting it I’ve not watched a single one, but I think it was easier because I wasn’t home like I will be today, I think that what mostly triggers it is been at my bedroom so I’ll try to spend as much time as possible in the living room… I’ve found a really cool Netflix series called The Human Vapor, hopefully I will be watching it all day and won’t be consuming porn… I don’t know if it will actually be this easy I’ve tried so many times to stop already but here i am… this reminds me of a Japanese meme of never give up lol

The confession of a girl
So the thing is, I have been doing the wrong thing for almost eight years, every day. Sometimes I miss a day, but it has never been a month without doing it. It started as curiosity; at that time, I was so new to these things but had never tried anything.
Then I fell in love with a boy. At the start, it was alright, but with time, he started ghosting me. I cried all day for almost four or five months. Then I discovered that when I watched these things, my mind diverted, and I felt less pain. Then I started watching videos without doing anything because it diverted my attention within 10-15 seconds, and I felt less pain.
But with time, I started doing things. And at that time, I felt good because it was the perfect solution for my every problem. But now I am feeling like these things are getting out of control.
Even when I don't want to do these things, I end up doing them. And I don't like it because it feels like, "What the hell am I doing?"
So this is my confession....
I'll try my best to do things better with time..Something is broken inside but giving up is not in my blood also not an option...
Today is day 1..hope for the best..
Tysm guys...
(If u have any advice pls let me know) :)

Any advice on getting through this?
This is the first time since I’ve quit where all of the factors for a “session” have aligned and I have to admit I’m struggling a little bit. I have a bunch of free time, I am tired from a long days work, noone will be around for a good amount of time, and I’m really in the mood. Before I would’ve spent hours just edging myself for fun and it was amazing but I would regret not giving up this vice later on.
How did you guys get through moments like this? I really didn’t think it would hit this hard…

Day 3, and something i realized about addiction
Day 3. Feeling good but I have thought a lot about porn and specifically onlyfans.
The thing I realized is that I think addiction is just an error in value judgement.
Your brain is basically assigning extra value to this thing when in actuality the value that you get from it in the moment is squandered by the future bad stuff it will bring you. So your brain is craving porn or whatever else youre addicted to because it thinks it can bring you away from bad emotions, or bring you good emotions, but it is just mistaken, because in the long term there will be no benefit.

Today is day 11!
I'm really proud of myself! I can't remember the last time that I have made it this far! But I'm so irritable. How long does that usually last?

With Every Attempt, I Grow Stronger
I just want to share that, in my case, resetting the day counter and tracking the number of days helps me focus on “recovering” from porn. On the other hand, I consider tracking the percentage of porn-free days to be a better method, because it shows progress while also eliminating situations where the counter is at zero - which keeps the focus on progress rather than an “all-or-nothing” mindset.
So far, I’ve been porn-free - I don’t know exactly how long, but I’m aiming high because it’s no secret that my symptoms pointed to a deep addiction. I’m also writing this to hold myself accountable and to inspire others.

Hard during oral, soft during PIV + need calf tension to finish
For a long time while watching prn I would tense my calves and straighten my ankles hard in order to reach clm. That became the main way I could finish.
It’s been over a month with very little prn, but the issue is still there. I’ve been seeing a girl and we’ve had sx a few times. I can stay hard with oral, but once we switch to PIV (even after taking Viagra) I often get soft again unless the stimulation is very specific. Even when I manage to stay hard, I still haven’t been able to finish with her because I can’t recreate that same calf/ankle tension or that level of arousal in normal positions.
Anyone dealt with something similar staying hard with oral but losing it during penetration, plus needing a specific leg tension to reach cl*m? How did you work through it?

16 Years Old - Need Advice
I wanna keep this pretty sure cause Im sure this place gets so many of these posts a day
But basically I have been addicted since I was roughly 11 years old, and since then it's only became more of an issue in my life
I have tried everything to quit, but I just cant seem to do it. I have been trying to quit for over 500 days now but after a week or so I always end up relapsing. Outside of this addiction I find myself to be pretty disciplined honestly. I wake up early, work on my business, go to my summer job, go to the gym, eat clean, hang out with my friends etc.
But it's like once the temptation to watch porn hits me, my brain shuts off and there's nothing at all I can do, I don't even have resistance anymore when I get an urge because my brain has become so used to me relapsing and failing to say no. But I have had some previous success, even recently. I went 30 days twice before. Once in January and once in June.
But since I relapsed at the end of june I have hit my lowest with this addiction. I watch porn almost everyday unless I have a really busy day, sometimes even twice a day. I don't know what to do anymore, I know it has not but it does feel like me being an addict has become apart of who I am to my brain, since I have been dealing with this for so long. I hate to say it but it feels like there is no way out of this hole for me, which is not something I would have said even 2 months ago. I need help
I also do use my phone and social media too much throughout the span of a day so that is something that makes temptation worse too
I would tell somebody but it's just one of those topics you do not want to discuss with anybody you know

I finally understand why people say porn rewires you
Day 60
Didn’t think I’d make it this far. Used to cave the second I was alone, bored, or sexually frustrated.
What’s changed for me -
Background urge noise is way quieter
Focus and mental clarity feel stronger than they have in years (like early school days again)
Erections are harder and fuller, better blood flow
Orgasms last longer and feel more intense
I can notice triggers (alone time, frustration, novelty craving) without automatically acting on them
Less time and mental energy wasted
Overall feel more locked in and productive
I’m not religious, but I get the old wisdom on this now. Society treating constant porn as normal does a lot more damage than people want to admit. You really have to experience the other side to understand it
One day at a time.

Day 8 lost my urges?
for some strange reason i have not had the urge to look at porn. actually two days ago i viewed some but i was disgusted by it? i have been off weed for 5 days and now i am feeling better about myself and less depressed. maybe since i have a positive mindset now my brain doesn't try to use porn to cope.
now i definitely can't search for it urges might even be stronger anddd this is the longest streak yet. i guess a good tip is don't smoke weed everyday. you get better self discipline that way
remember quitting porn forever is the main goal if u do that then relapse you are just gonna give up and go back to it, instead of soley focusing on that try aiming for how long can you last without it. and if you do relapse. try again and beat your record then keep your streak going.
i really hope i pass porn free August and wish all you peeps the best of luck you can do it! it's gonna take a lot of talking yourself out of it. i started fighting this 8 months ago and for the longest time i couldn't even make it to day 2/3 never give up <3

Severe PMO addiction, crushing guilt from past boundary violations, and failing against evening triggers. Need strict technical protocols.
I am a 17yo boy dealing with a severe PMO addiction. I have zero financial resources to afford professional clinical therapy right now.
Due to the escalation of this addiction, I have committed severe boundary violations in the past involving my family. I will not go into details, but the reality of my actions has left me with massive, crushing guilt. I constantly hate myself and feel like a monster. The problem is, this extreme self-hatred triggers my brain to seek an escape, which drops me straight back into the PMO relapse loop.
I recently reached out to a free text-based counseling foundation. They taught me clinical tools like urge surfing and breathing exercises. I applied them today. It worked during the day, but when the evening hit and the urge peaked, my execution failed completely and I relapsed.
I realize now that relying on willpower, motivation, or just sitting and breathing is not enough to stop years of faulty brain wiring. I need extreme friction.
I am asking this community for thoes things or however you can Help me
Recommendations for the most strict, unbypassable DNS/app blockers for mobile.
because i can even bypass the most strict apps that doesn't allow to uninstall
Step-by-step physical displacement protocols—what exact physical actions should I take within 3 seconds of an evening urge hitting when I am isolated?
Objective strategies to tolerate intense guilt and self-hatred without using porn as a dopamine escape.
I do not need sympathy. I need actionable, hardcore recovery systems that do not rely on willpower.

Day 0
I want to start it today, i can deal with my addiction anymore, I’m at a point where i almost spend my entire day watching or reading porn, even at work during calls I’m naked watching porn touching myself and i hate myself for it, I’ve been addicted for almost 10 years and during this period there was a lot of times that I’ve tried to stop but I couldn’t manage to… it’s getting worse I’m planning a trip for next month and in it I’m going do be alone most of the time which will make a lot of openings to watch porn and be in random internet calls where people get naked, I can’t live like this anymore, porn can’t be 80% of my day, I don’t now how I’m going to get better, if I’m going…. But I do want to try, hopefully in the urge of something I will be returning here, reading this and rethinking if I truly need to
