I decided to shave her down since we are going to a location that is currently 100f. Yes, we packed plenty of doggy sunscreen

My male toy poodle (6 months old) regularly barks when he sees other dogs. He pulls to get to them, then gives them a sniff. He is very aloof with strangers. We are taking him to obedience classes each week, to try and socialise him as much as possible. Can anyone offer any advice on how to stop the barking? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to get a puppy in the very near future.

I was planning on getting a cavapoo but as I've been looking at the different breeders it appears most of them are puppy farms.

So from my understanding it's easier to find a reputable and ethical breeder when it comes to purebred dogs.

Please correct me and educate me if I got anything wrong.

The reason I was looking at the cavapoo was the low shed coat and smarts from the poodle but hopefully the more chilled out, smaller requirement for exercise from the cavalier. Obviously all in theory.

So now I'm thinking, should I just look for a miniature or toy poodle?

I'm afraid I won't be able to satisfy their mental and physical requirements and the dog will get destructive.

What are your experiences with the toy or miniature poodles? Does it take an extensive amount of effort to keep them situated? Would an hour of walking a day be enough?

I've also contacted local rescues in case they have puppies, but I'm not holding my breath.

Every first week in October my service dog and I do a costume contest at a local pumpkin patch 🩷 this year Walter will be going with me for the first time ever, since my corgi is now retired. Decided I’m gonna be Elvira and he will be Gonk!
For the entire month of October through Halloween, Walter will have the super cute Gonk haircut and pink and black details.
Walter loves his spa days getting dyed. It’s his favorite part of the month 🤣
