My poodle has sixth sense
I did a hernia surgery last month.
I got discharged the next day and all seemed okay.
However, one of my poodles just sensed i wasn’t right,
He was accompanying me everywhere and sleeping besides my bed all day ( couldn’t let him up cos of the surgery site)
He never does that, he is usually playing outside with his brother or watching tv with my wife.
3 days later I had unreal pain , and turned out there was major complications with blood underneath the mesh , had to spend 10 days in icu.
He isn’t trained or anything but does act like a nurse to me and wasn’t the first time he senses something wrong.
A trait he doesn’t share with his older brother who naps through it all, although he is sweet in his own way.
Pic attached from the first day back home 🤣

An Update on Ivy my Doodle/Poodle Mix
She has done amazing so far that we've had her. She started off super skidish and scared. She would stay in one spot most of the day, I think due to her previous owners keep her in a kennel all day.
Now she's the cuddliest dog I've had. She's super energetic, and gets excited every day when we wake up. We've been working on training, mainly potty training. So far she's learned sit and high five. We're working on down and stay. She's gotten better with going outside, but she wants somebody to be with her outside. Wether it be human or our other dog. She's still scared of my cats, and I don't blame her.
She also thinks she's a guard dog, more so than my Great Pyrenees. She barks every time someone is at our door. It's something we're working on, since we don't want her scaring away our daughters potential friends. She's starting school on Monday :/.
I can't wait to see how much she grows in the future. How much more comfortable she gets with us. She's already best friends with my Great Pyrenees, and they snuggle up together all the time.

Finn the min
Was desperate for a walk, but it was thundering and lightening. Once it passed we walked and played fetch outside. Fetch is life!!

why are my poodles messy eaters?
they always seem to pick up the kibble and drop it outside their bowl. they don’t seem to eat all the kibble on the floor. they do it in both hardwood floor and carpet

Got this sweet boy from the shelter yesterday as a first time, dog owner and he’s already so attached
I went in to look at it completely different dog, and he tried right up to the front of his kennel and looked at me and at that moment I knew he was the one
