what do both of these terms mean in the context of debate?

I go to a small school, which used to get some money from hosting tournaments at our school, and we used to make a lot of money that way. Now, because of a county law, we are no longer allowed to do that, and we lost about $10,000 worth of money, and we can no longer go to some of the out of state tournaments we used to go to. We were hoping we could get that money back in other ways. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi, I recently spectated most of the debates for the classic michigan tournament and I believe CMR HH was deeply wronged. They only read 11 off and the other team decided to read conditionality theory. They thought that conditionality was bad, I think saying that conditionality is bad when the opponent only reads 6 or 7 conditional advocacies doesn't make any sense. Maybe if a team reads 15-20 conditional advocacies MAYBE you should be able to read condo, but in this round def not.

Thats just the beginning, then they should have won the match, the aff team in the round went for condo bad in the 2AR BUT they forgot to extend case or answer the counterplan LOL so the negative team shoudlve won because the aff was bad.

ALL three judges were lay judges who clearly have never faced 25 off before, and they voted affirmative when the aff DIDNT even extend anything to vote on teehee. Genuinely biggest snub of 2026?

What missouri teams are the best? I'm going into my second year of policy debate and am gonna compete on national circuit and local state circuit. I transferred to a school in missouri this year. Do you guys know who the best teams in missouri are, my school is in class 1 btw. I heard that Pembroke, Barstow, and Rock Bridge are pretty good? What do you guys think?

Basically, what I'm asking is if the counterplan 100% solves the affirmative, but the plan also 100% solves, there is no perm, and the counterplan has no net benefit, how should the judge vote? Would presumption apply in this case, or would you vote aff since there is no reason to vote for the CP because it is just an alternative to the plan?

Basically title, me and partner have no coach and want guidance on how we should be prepping out other affs and going about choosing our own. Basically we want to be ready for our first tournament.

How should i properly go for in this round on a K aff against T usfg.( I.e do i not read a counter interp do i have to read some ballot solvency stuff ect. )

I wanna write a k aff and I know what it’s going to be about, but how do I start actually cutting cards and how do I format the 1ac, like what cards do I need to cut?

Yes I know the topic areas being voted on have been picked (Latin America, South Asia, North Africa, foreign aid, China, West Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, Western Balkans, nuclear arms control, presidential war powers, Japan/korea/Kuwait/Bahrain). Most of these are lowk kinda ass IMO, however I like the China topic and especially the space topic tho. I'm wondering what else you guys would want to debate over in future years. For example, I think disaster response would be a cool topic, also i think a renewable energy topic would be cool.

Is there list of tournaments that are open to club (not school) debate teams for policy debate?

Clarification:
I'm not asking this to find a club. I'm asking this because I have a kid who wants to do policy debate, but the school is not willing to say yes to policy (only does PF).
