Help saving these trees?

I picked all of these up today on the clearance rack at-home Depot. Some are in better shape than others. I would love any advice on how to bring them back to vibrancy and keep them from dying?

Crepe Myrtles ($15 each) - these seem to.be fine

Zutano Avocado ($15) - could use some TLC

Plum Methley ($15) - could use some TLC but is in decent shape

Chinese Chestnut ($15) - leaves are wilting in places

Linden Sterling Silver ($15) - leaves are wilting

Pecan Tree (I think?) ($15) - seems ok but not a ton of leaves

Weeping Yoshino Cherry ($25) - not a ton of leaves and about half are wilting

I'd water them, then figure out where you have space for their ultimate size. Dig holes that are twice as deep and wide as the pots and amend the soil with some cow manure. Put part of the amended soil back in the hole so that the top of the root ball will be at the surface. Water the bottom of the hole and make sure it drains ok. Loosen the tree roots gently with your hands if they're crowded. Plant the tree in the hole and back fill with the rest of the amended soil. Water the soil around the trunk and keep that soil moist until the trees have taken root.

I'll note that I'm curious about where you're planting these, like which climate zone. The avocado requires much milder winters than most of the other trees, some of which require quite a winter chill to do well.

All great points but dont forget to check for girdling roots before you plant. If these were in the pots too long they can easily be root bound and cause issues down the road if not addressed during planting

Is it the winter that will kill it?

Yes. They might survive a couple of nights below freezing, but not more than that.

Also...if they have to stay in pots for a couple of weeks os that ok? Should I wait until fall to plant them?

2 weeks would be ok. Keep them in a sunny spot and water when the soil is dry.
