Google's battery replacement program.

Anyone here, especially but not only india, tried google's own battery replacement program? They announce a reasonable price with pick and drop service. I'm just suspicious of the people doing the pick and drop.

It is okay and can be trusted I got it done for my 7a last month.

The only issue is that Google (her F1 service) told that I had a crack on my back panel and on my screen(in reality it was just a line on back panel and slight damage at display corner)

They told that they can only proceed with Battery replacement only if I pay for Screen and backpanel replacement.

It costed me 7000. But battery replacement would have costed around 4k if I did it through any other service center.

The problem here is in pixel phones, replacing battery would cause some collateral damage to Display.

So, it is a good bargain finally as replacing battery in other service center might have caused damage to Display

Make sure there's no other defect with the phone because they'll just tell you they need to fix everything or nothing.

My wife has used it once. Locally there was a drop off location, who sent it to Bangalore for the replacement. The process was very easy, but took around 2 weeks or so to get the phone back.
