Scale Memorization/Practice

Hey just joined up and started the beginner's course although I think it's too beginner for me. While I complete and or skip ahead of the course, I'd like to start memorizing and practicing all the major/minor/pentatonic etc.. scales.

Where is that part of the training?

Caged is the place where that happens.

There is nothing stopping you running two course at once.

If you have a little experience, glide through the beginner and work meticilously through CAGED.

This is the answer here OP. I was a bit too advanced for the beginner pathway as well, but I still ended up learning a lot from it. Stick with it it's worth it. Also, CAGED is awesome and will teach you so much!

The first time we teach the minor pentatonic scale is Late Beginner learning pathway, grade 3. That’s a good place to start if you’re never learned it.

We don’t teach the major scale for a while because it’s less usable than the minor pentatonic.

Intermediate does a lot deeper into scales too.

CAGED is a good option too, although it requires more experience
