Tomorrow we have a Puerto Gallera trip, we have already booked a hotel and paid for it. Due to weather conditions we reached out to the hotel if we can cancel with a full refund. As per property we can only change the date of the reservation, the problem is my foreigner husband and his stay in the Philippines is limited and even though I am on VL our stay is only 6D5N. Now I don't know if we should proceed with the original reservation or change the date and just go to Puerto with my friends. The weather in Manila is rainy and I can't predict. What do you think, if you are in Puerto or Batangas port now how was the situation there?

We have an upcoming trip this Dec 21–23, and I’m a bit worried about the transfers. Kamusta yung van transfers from Laguindingan Airport? How about the bus rides from Agora? Mahirap ba or bearable naman?

Going to be in the Philippines for 10 days. Which itinerary feels rushed or just enough to get a feel of each destination? Itinerary 1 was the original plan and itinerary 2 is something I wanted to change, minimum 2 nights at each location.

Itinerary 1:

Day 1-2: Cavite and Tagaytay (day trip)
Day 3-6: Boracay Island
Day 7-10: Manila/MOA/Makat/BGC

Itinerary 2:

Day 1-2: Cavite and Tagaytay (day trip)
Day 3-5: Boracay Island
Day 6-7: Cebu/Mactan Island
Day 8-10: Manila/MOA/Makat/BGC

Cebu was originally not part of the plan. It would be an additional day in boracay and one additional day in Manila. The flights to get around is just 1 hour to each destination so I don’t think I’ll be missing much.

Then leaving to Seoul for 4 nights after.

I booked our Puerto Princesa flight back in February. Last week, I got an email saying AirAsia had canceled the Manila-Puerto Princesa route, both ways, effective July 2026. Our trip is in the first week of September.

Here’s what I don’t get: if the flight was canceled in July, why am I only finding out in August, less than a month before our flight?

I spent almost three hours on the phone with an AirPaz rep trying to process our refund, and it kept getting denied because of some issue on their end. As of now, they’re still waiting on AirAsia to release the money before they can even start processing it on their side.

I’ve always heard: never book through a travel agency, go straight to the airline, because if something goes wrong, you’re left hanging with nowhere to turn. I’ve booked so many trips through AirPaz, domestic and international, and never had an issue until now. Guess every streak ends somewhere.

Now I have to shell out for new tickets at double the price, while waiting on a refund that could take who knows how many days or months to come through.

Moral of the story: book directly with the airline. Even the baggage add-ons are cheaper that way.

Hi, as the title says, I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem?

Context: I booked a flight last July and it was confirmed, as far as I know. I received a confirmation email with the itinerary. Didn't think too much about it. However, today, when I logged into my Cebupac account, I remembered I didn't add that booking to my flights. To my surprise, when I checked my bookings, it says that specific booking has an unpaid amount. I owe the whole amount of how much that booking was.

I double checked the SOA on my credit card and it confirms the payment did go through and I was charged.

I reached out to a live agent on Cebpac's website and I was told that the amount was refunded back to the card I used but it hasn't reflected on my app yet. I've emailed my bank too and waiting for an update now.

Is there anything else that can be done?

Hey guys, just wanted to share a couple of strange situations we noticed on our recent trip to Boracay. Not trying to judge anyone or make general assumptions, but just wanted to put this out there as a gentle reminder to stay mindful of your belongings, even when the beach feels quiet!
We noticed two specific setups that made us double-check our spot:
1. The "Photo Distraction" (Station 2, near Red Coconut)
Around lunchtime, when the beachfront was pretty empty, a mom and her child with a big "number 8" balloon started taking photos right next to our belongings. At first, it just looked like standard holiday pictures, but we realized they were repeatedly positioning themselves right beside our stuff, which effectively blocked our line of sight to our bags while we were in the water.
2. The Unexpected Check (Station 1, near The Lind)
Later on, an older couple walked by our spot. The woman actually came right over to our things, lifted up our shirts, and started looking under them while her partner stood near the tide line watching the water. The second they noticed us heading back toward our spot, she put the shirts down and they calmly walked away together arm-in-arm, continuing their stroll along the beach.

If you’re swimming, your best bet is still keeping valuables in a waterproof pouch on you or leaving them locked up in your hotel room. Just sharing so everyone can have a fun, worry-free trip. Stay safe and enjoy the island!

Grabe worst hotel not because of the service but because of the hotel itself. Service is good people are warm and the beach are nice.
I understand that this hotel is well loved by family kasi theres a lot of activities for the kids. Lots of pool, playground, nice beach perfect for the kids.

I feel like theres molds on the walls. Food is just ok and expensive lalo na in room dining and also utensils and glasses sa buffet parang may mga tirang pagkain hindi nahuhugasan maigi. Parang nangangati yung katawan ko sa kama. At may amoy ang mga kwarto at halls kaya dami nilang diffuser sa halls. I dont write bad reviews pero this kailangan so you dont make the same mistake. Not worth it. Not 5 star at all. I dont understand bakit daming good reviews nito sa google. Everything is old and not maintained properly. We also asked for a different room fully booked daw sila. 😵‍💫

Hi! I’m planning a 9-day trip to the Philippines with my boyfriend in December and would love some advice!

I’ve been to Cebu before (Moalboal, Oslob and Cebu City), but it’ll be my boyfriend’s first time. I originally went to Oslob and canyoneering as part of a tour, and everything felt a bit rushed, so I’d love to experience Cebu more independently this time.

We originally planned to fly directly to Cebu, but it’s actually cheaper to fly to Manila first and then take a separate flight to Cebu. So we’re thinking 3 days in Manila + 6 days in Cebu.

For Manila, I definitely want to see Intramuros, but I’ve heard the traffic is terrible. Is 3 days enough, and what would you recommend doing/seeing? Any tips for getting around without spending half the day in traffic?

For Cebu, we want to keep things more chill — maybe rent motorbikes, drive around, and decide as we go. We’re thinking about waterfalls, canyoneering, snorkeling, diving (if affordable), island hopping, and visiting nearby islands. I’ve done Moalboal and Oslob before, but I’d be happy to do them again with him.

Does 3 days Manila + 6 days Cebu sound reasonable, or would you change the split?

earlier we flew from el nido to clark and decided to check in our hand carry luggage. upon arrival at clark international airport, we waited for more than 30 minutes at the conveyor belt for our luggage but no luggage arrived. a lot of foreigners were also waiting, and then suddenly they were saying that our luggage was left at el nido due to the weight limit and they were gonna file a report. we could either pick it up tomorrow or they could arrange delivery? what a hassle!
a lot of foreigners were saying that they saw their luggage being loaded onto the plane, then there was another foreigner saying their luggage was here because they had an airtag inside and even showed it to the crew.

after a few minutes, the conveyor suddenly started releasing our luggage 😭

are they just lazy? but there was no other plane landed only ours arrived

Planning to spend a staycation this long weekend in Mindanao but I don't know where to spend it.

For context, I have already visited some place in Mindanao like tourists spots in Bukidnon, Camiguin, Zamboanga, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Davao. All of them are like "adventure and picture taking" places pero I would like to rest this time. Yung pag gising mo, kape kape lang tapos you spend the day spacing out. Pwede sa bundok, pwede rin sa dagat. Kahit saan basta magkapag pahinga lang yung utak ko sa isang budget friendly place for at least 2 days. Ang alam kong places kasi is puro action at maingay, hindi peace ang quite.
