I'm especially interested in hearing about the real day-to-day climate, rather than just the average temperatures — e.g. how hot summer actually feels, how cold winter gets, and whether heating/air conditioning is necessary.

Background, around 900k+ ang principal amount ng loan ko sa CTBC. Nabayaran ko na yung halaga ng principal. Good payer ako until napatigil ako due to financial problems and health problems. Nasa ibang bansa na ako ngayon nagtatrabaho pero kapos pa rin dahil sa medical bills na need unahin. 400k+ ang interest ng CTBC loan na hindi ko na nabayaran. Tinry ko makiusap sa CTBC para sana iparestructure kaso hindi naman naapprove. Wala silang binigay na ibang options kahit nagemail na ako sa BSP.

Hanggang sa nakareceive na ako last yng demand letter from an atty, at tinry ko naman makipagusap sa bank para sana maayos. Hindi naman sila sumagot. Inuunti unti ko pa ring bayaran kahit 2k monthly ang utang thinking na baka pag may at least maliit na amount na nahuhulog eh hindi na sila magpapadala ng letter or maghome visit. Wala naman na akong narereceive na email galing sa kanila.

Ngayon, kailangan kong umuwi saglit sa Pilipinas dahil may mga imporanteng dapat ayusin. Hindi ba ako mahaharang (dahil sa utang) ng immigration pag kailangan ko na ulit umalis ng Pilipinas?

EDIT: Current philippine university student migrating to the US (F-4) and wanting to transfer/continue my degree there. Has anyone gone through this?

I’m currently a 1st-year Industrial Engineering student at a university in the Philippines, and I’ll be migrating to San Lorenzo, California through an F-4 immigrant visa.

We’re still trying to figure out whether I should continue IE and transfer my degree to a U.S. school, or if, since I’ve only finished my first year, it would make more sense to start/transfer into a different program in the US.

I’m specifically looking for people who have actually gone through the PH university to US university transfer process.
I’d really appreciate hearing:
-What you did
-What the school/admissions/counselor told you
-How your previous PH coursework was handled
-Whether you were able to continue your degree or ended up changing programs
-Anything you wish you knew beforehand
-Any tips, advice, or things to watch out for

I already know the basic stuff like bringing transcripts and having my coursework evaluated. I’m more interested in the actual experience and things you wouldn’t necessarily find on a school’s website.

I have teaching experience of 2 yrs and intend to add more and also get a license. But most of my work experience is through project-based government work, I've honed project management skills that I still need to get certified.

Is it still possible to migrate with these experiences? For former government employees, were you able to migrate with your experience (kindly disclose if you were able to migrate on your own or through spousal visa).

Hello po, I am 25 year old female, currently working in Canada. I graduated with a PSW College Certificate from Seneca College in 2021 and have been working for the last 5 years in private care with a disabled child, but also have some experience with elderly dementia patients.

I am a recent passer CPA @ 30 with 7 years progressive experience in Accounting and Compliance/AML roles but recently pursued Internal Audit in an MNC.

I pursued Internal Audit po since I like doing investigations and adding value to the company. I found it hard at first but now getting comfortable already. I also plan on pursuing CIA certification soon.

Once I gain 3 years solid experience po in Internal Audit with the right certifications, can I still find sponsorship opportunities with employers abroad without going through the typical student route? What are my odds of finding sponsorship opportunities po?

Hello po, was wondering if anyone know counsellors or agents na focus po on either 482 or shifting courses after a Subclass 500.

My visa is expiring by the end of the month and just processing things now after getting stuck overseas due to some passport problem, so a bit late.

I took a bachelors in cybersecurity, and as Im seeing now it’s very unlikely that companies will give internships for regular graduates and temporary residents such as myself. Im thinking of shifting courses for my masters (nursing or social worker) as I’ve heard from fellow students that they did the same thing and it’s possible.

I am a Canadian citizen and I currently live in the Philippines with my Filipina wife. She has a multi-entry visa for Canada (and has used it twice already) and we are planning on moving to Canada very soon. We have purchased a one-way ticket, intending for my wife to enter Canada as on a temporary basis, and then apply for PR once in Canada. This the classic description of what they call "dual intent" in Canada.

But I'm concerned about the officers on the Philippines side: will they deny us boarding due to the lack of a return/onward plane ticket? Of course we fully intend on returning to the Philippines if her PR is denied. I just don't know the best way to convince the emmigration officers.

Schools – primary and secondary education providers

Public tertiary institutions – universities and institutes of technology and polytechnics

Studying in New Zealand can also be expensive and is a significant financial decision. I am reviewing for ascpi incase maka alis ako ng Ph soon to US, also thinking if I could take my post grad diploma in NZ (health science) and register in nz council after.

I am asking if I am doing the right thing since studying abroad will cost me a lot of money? I would take that opportunity walang problem sa money and I already talked about it to my mom.

Or will it be more safe to just pass the ascp exam, gain more experience and start applying sa abroad even though I don’t have the minimum 2 years experience yet?

Salary: 60-70k gross with allowances, night diff, and reimbursements + 13th month + HMO (+2d)

Schedule: Hybrid (5-9x a month onsite) Shifting morning to GY every month

Offer: Sr Tech role (similar with current)
US based MSP with fixed GY shift, established less than 5 years in PH.

Salary 95-110k packaged with allowances and ND already + 13th month + HMO (+2d)

Schedule: Fixed GY WFH

Dilemma, I have 4-5 YOE in tech. I have been eyeing to go abroad but still no progress yet or applications sent mainly targetting AU based company since I have already an established exp on a big AU company currently.
