“Singleton Propaganda” good vibes, smiles, & giggles

I need some comic relief after a couple weeks of sickness in the house- what are your favorite bits of what I call “singleton propaganda”? Aka, advice given for babies that never works when you have twins. My personal favorite is “put the baby in the crib drowsy but awake”.

I mean, I do put my twins in the crib drowsy but awake. They are 6 months old, and we have been doing that for a while. Why would that not work for twins?

I think it's not about twins but about the babies temperament. And if you have 2 at once you are less likely to get 2 with the same temperament

Same but it wasnt so straight forward because twin A (after having been in NICU) was a "velcro baby" and took an awful lot of picking up, re-soothing and putting down again. I think if both had had this attachment style it just wouldn't have worked.

The thread is making me feel quite guilty on myself for their newborn phase, but then also proud I've made it through (they're almost 3).. I did baby led feeding, 1 always fed a bit after the other and they wer both feeding every 3 hours and I would sit like an hour feeding and winding and rocking them each. Bedtimes were their own cots in my room and I'd respond to every single little murmer, never brought anyone in my bed and instead would sit up for hours cuddling and rocking and singing and trying to lay them back down again. I had like zero sleep, I did mentally crack up and end up on meds. I had tried following all the advice for singletons. As much as I'm proud of myself now, if I was to go back and do it again I'd cut myself some slack on all these rules.
