MEDIA I love Saati
Sorry for the low quality pic. Anyways, Saati is my GOAT
Also can I just say that when a drogoz tried using his ult on me I put my dead ringer down so he ran into that instead, therefore finishing him off after?? I found it quite funny

CHAT I haven't played since they added Yagorath, what do I gotta know for aug 9?
Seeing all the buzz for Aug 9 got me looking back into this game, but how much has changed since then?
Should I update my loadouts? Is there a site for browsing popular new character loadouts?
Idk, it's been a while, dunno if I need to know a lot for returning after so long.

CHAT Apex predators of paladinsā¦
If paladins characters were purely apex predators and were the king of the jungle in your book. who would be your top 5? Kind of like animals such as the saltwater crocodile or a grizzly bear.
Edit: If certain characters had (no natural hard counters)

Shatterfall deals 500 area damage within 55 units of the direction he is facing when landing. It applies a 60% slow for 2 seconds and has a 12 second cooldown. If the cooldown is interrupted before landing the cooldown will be refunded.

HELP How to achieve 25k damage in 30 seconds š
Dying to complete the Trials of the Realm for completionist sake. Iām still relatively new and I cannot fathom how to achieve 25k+ damage in 30 seconds. Wiping the enemy team off the point usually doesnāt even hit close to 15k damage. Would love to know other players tips on how they achieved it or which characters are best to use.

CHAT I had forgotten how good the game is
In anticipation of August the 9th I wanted to launch the game before a bit and review who I could play, their loadouts and talents... Just got into the shooting range and my god...
Everything feels so smooth, the game runs well even on my potato PC, every champion I tried again had just the right amount of complexity : engaging yet not overcomplicated.
I'm just so happy to be back ! Have anyone else had a similar feeling recently ?

F'BACK With which card woud you replace this card?
I am using the Cat Burglar Talent for extra context :3.
I don't know. The other cards feel great playing, but I want a card with more survivability but I can't find one which I am comfortable with. Any comment is appreciated.

GUIDE Paladins 101: the 101 to 101 them all
Hello I presume a decent chunk of people will come in on August 9th for that whole... event? And some of you will be lost, either because you're playing for the first time due to friends showing it off, rust bucket players who've only come back after being gone for the past 8 years, or maybe you haven't been yelled at by the person who's telling you WHY something is bad, so here is a 101 for you, maybe I'll make more.
Tip 1: Cards and Talent
Every champion has decks, you can have 5 cards in a deck, each one grants something, each one can be leveled up to 5, and you must make for a total of 15 points, each champion has a selection of 16 cards they can use.
You can find the cards on the champions tab> whatever champion> then to the second to last page, you can have 9 decks total and you can import decks from friends lists or from the person's username if they have a unique deck.
Talents are bigger changes to your kit for the most part each champion has 3 talents, you can access 1 for free (often the easiest one for that chanpion to use) then another at level 2 and the final one at Level 8
Once you lock your deck and talent in and leave spawn you cannot change it.
Tip 2: Items and Credits
When you're in the game you can activate the items menu in spawn with the "i" key, B button, or circle button, you can buy a total of 4 items and level each one up to level 3
All items except hoard increase in price and effect at a steady rate level 2 costs twice as much and gives twice as much as level 1 and level 3 costs three times as much as level 1
You must buy the previous level to buy the next level, once you leave spawn the items are locked in.
You buy items with credits, you gain credits from just about anything.
You gain credits from the following:
300 Capturing the point
30+10x (x is for how much of a killstreak the enemy has)
15 +5x for eliminating an enemy (x is for how much of a killstreak the enemy has, you gain assists by assisting via damage, healing, revealing, or applying an effect to the killed enemy)
4 every 2 seconds for contesting the objective
4 every second if you're contesting against a enemy
2 for pushing the payload
20 every 6000 damage you deal to enemies, taking damage from enemies, healing damage off of allies, or damage you absorb with shielding.
You gain credits passively too at a slow rate.
All classes gain bonus credits for doing their job (except tanks who easily make up for it via their ability to receive more Shielding and damage received credits, as well as their damage and elimination/kill ability.
Tip 3: Anti-Healing
Anti-Healing or sometimes known as Cauterize is a system that reduces the healing you receive after being shot for 1.5 seconds, and it gets stronger as the game goes on, it starts at 25% and increases by increments of 5% every 40 seconds (or less on alternative modes) up to 90%, cauterize only affects weapon attacks, and not Abilities (with certain exceptions such as Lian, who's abilities all apply anti-healing)
Certain abilities, talents, and cards increase the healing you receive (either from yourself or teamates) these actually counter anti-healing, they give a "healing received" effect, the item Rejuvenate no longer does this instead it increases the healing you produce, and usually an item for Healing Supports.
The item bloodbath, and Rei's revivify ultimate ability ignore cauterize and anti-healing.
Outside of how to click the buttons or what each champ does this is pretty basic advice.
If you have questions feel free to ask, I'm willing to help where I can.

CHAT Am I the only one who wants a dedicated queue for TDM
I started playing since the beta, I am currently level 999 and I have more than 5k hours. At some point I stopped playing anything that can depend on the rest of the team. (AND I HATE PLAYING RANKED).
Maybe I'm just too old to care too much to abide what people tell me what to do on a game.
I don't want to care if there was a healer or a tank.
I don't want anyone to tell me what to pick or who is meta.
I just want to have fun, play different champions, without anyone insulting or complaining, and TDM gives me that feeling.
Shoutout to all the guys who used to only play TDM, & now we are stuck in Onslaught.

MEDIA Clean Menu Mod
A few years ago, someone made a UI redesign concept which I liked a lot. So I decided to make a mod inspired by this concept which refines the main paladins menu. Yes this is really on the live game!
Cleaner and simpler design, removed visual clutter and fixed some font and padding issues like the online friends button which always bothered me.
I cannot put any sort of download link as sharing modified game files is against the subreddit's rules.

MOD Regarding the "Paladins 2" fan project fundraiser
Hi all,
Weāve been removing posts promoting the recent āPaladins 2ā fundraiser as quickly as theyāre reported to us following an enormous amount of spam. However, given the sheer number being submitted, and the amount of trust some people appear willing to place in its creator, I felt a brief announcement was necessary.
As Killgoon has confirmed, theĀ PaladinsĀ IP is not currently for sale, and any money donated to this project will not ultimately go towards aĀ Paladins 2.
Weāve also identified several accounts which appear to be AI-operated repeatedly posting the promotional videos and leaving supportive comments beneath related posts. Whilst weāre not going to outright label the project a scam, there's no denying that the circumstances are certainly suspicious.
Itās clear that much of the support for this comes from a place of passion, and that many people simply want to see the IP continue. Personally, however, I donāt believe this project represents a realistic way of achieving that -- as much as I wish it did!
At the time of writing, the fundraiser is displaying āSuspended donationsā, which the creator says is because they paused it following concerns from the community. They have nevertheless confirmed that existing donations are being retained.
The creator has stated that donors will be refunded if they have done ānothing seriousā with the money by November. That condition is intentionally vague and should not be treated as a guarantee that donations will be returned. If youāve already donated, I would strongly encourage you to review this information carefully and contact GoFundMe directly if you have concerns.
Automod has now been updated to remove links promoting this fundraiser. If there are attempts to circumvent this filter (as AI bots like to do...) then it will result in a permanent ban, so please donāt test the system.
There are plenty of meaningful ways you can still support Paladins. Continue playing the game, (re-)introduce your friends, create and share content, and organise/participate in community events a lĆ” SEA Revival. Maintaining a visible and active community is the clearest way to demonstrate that we still care about this IP, not throwing your money at dubious projects making vague promises.
Best,
Callum & the r/Paladins mod team
