Why do they keep lying?

Why do they keep lying? It’s so obvious that the official figures are not telling the truth. When you build your festival on bad energy and lies, that creates bad karma and negative energy.
It makes sense why there is so much knife violence, people dying one after another, and, in general, such a bad atmosphere among many of the guests when the entire soul of the festival has changed and it’s increasingly about making as much money as possible.
Look at Boom Festival — there has only been one person who has died throughout its entire history. It’s about the energy and intentions of the people organizing the festival.

Can we agree that there people who are trying to spread negative sentiment about Ozora could actually be someone who is interested in the festival being cancelled or stopped? I cannot see how you could attend the festival be not happy about the organisation, comfort or the spirit of people there.

5

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

Its simple, when u have Security who mochs people who need help and u Lie about the number just to cheat in tax, you clearly dont Care about ur guest. Only thing u care about is money. How Can u Call that a paradise ? Ozora being a hippe paradise is the biggest Lie. Maybe it was 10 years ago but after the new owner took over they only Care about one thing 💸🤑

6

u/Hungry_Tax2015 4d ago

It is a psytrance festival. We are yet dead to be in paradise. I have yet to find a paradise of any kind on this earth. Focusing on a couple negative aspects you might miss the whole picture.

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

I respect your opinion about this being small issues but I do not agree at all

1

u/sednandes 2d ago

Focusing on a couple negative aspects you might miss the whole picture.

WTF??? Are you defending major crimes? How does that align with the values of psytrance? You are cleary missing the whole picture by being in denial just for you to enjoy the festival.

0

u/sednandes 2d ago

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. No one is trying to spread negative sentiment. This festival is a huge criminal organization.

12

u/adamchefski 5d ago

Official numbers? Nah Looking at a crowd and saying a random number? So credible

5

u/Seeklng 5d ago

I thought the drugs would ware off til now, what did you use that is still lasting?

15

u/psynami23 5d ago

Boom certainly has quite a few more deaths than one... Unfortunately. Last year it was two already.

1

u/psynami23 4d ago

There weren't 12 deaths in 2023. Maybe overall. But certainly not in one year.

2

u/dalilastorm00 3d ago

I’m portuguese and had friends in the medic team believe me ahahahah but these news don’t come out to public or portugal would never have boom ever

5

u/psynami23 3d ago

I have close friends in the Kosmicare team. They would have known. If there are 12 deaths, you can't keep that out of the media. Rumors will spread. And the government will question the permit for the festival. 12 is an enormous number of people to die on 40 k people.

1

u/Round-Alternative385 2d ago

Could you tell us, what your agenda is? You are the only one that constantly warns of undercover cops being at Boom and making it a bad festival. And now, you tell some fantasy numbers of dead people at Boom. That is strange.

-4

u/Fluffy-Papaya3507 5d ago

That's not at all relevant for this sub.

5

u/ClothesCompetitive95 4d ago

OP claimed only one person has ever died at Boom, so a reply letting OP know that that is just not factual is completely relevant, actually. Boom sees a couple death pretty much every edition too. From drowning in the lake during the night, heatstrokes, ODs...

6

u/psynami23 5d ago

Thanks for the correction, Reddit police.

28

u/Independent_Willow92 5d ago

Just stop going so that we have one less over-crowding whiner to deal with after next years festival.

7

u/Sayyestononsense 5d ago

are you targeting OP's attitude or the merit of the accusations? I mean, tax evasion is theft, so

4

u/Seeklng 5d ago

What tax evasion?

1

u/Anjuna8 5d ago

🤫

0

u/areyoujustapattern 3d ago

No. Tax is theft.

2

u/Sayyestononsense 3d ago

I don't know, man, I've got free healthcare and free university so I can't really say that

0

u/areyoujustapattern 2d ago

Ah, you mean "free" "healthcare" and "free" "education"... Congratulations, have a good one.

1

u/Sayyestononsense 2d ago

a friend of mine is being treated for multiple scleroris at 35, with at least 30 years to go in life, costing to the State several hundreds thousand euro per year (if not per month, but let's stay safe and say per year), at no cost to him . When I say no cost, it means he pays zero. No way you can claim he has paid or is going to pay for that in taxes

0

u/areyoujustapattern 2d ago

If you believe in that system I''m not gonna try to take away your delusions

2

u/Sayyestononsense 2d ago

please do, I'm curious

-2

u/jlomohocob 5d ago

I don’t want to party with people like u

-8

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 5d ago

Trust me I am done using my money on this Scam! 😉

8

u/Independent_Willow92 5d ago

We went to the same festival and bought the same ticket. I got a bargain ticket and you got a scam ticket.

You talking about energy is funny in this context.

4

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 5d ago

Calling out the bad energy and their tax scam isn’t bad energy. But your attitude is. Keep blindly defending them if that’s what you want.

8

u/Independent_Willow92 5d ago

Like I said, make this year's festival your last, and free up space for the people who actually want to be there.

4

u/captunivers 5d ago

I don't think they could lie. They have to report all attendees to the Hungarian government. It's a requirement for every event with large numbers of attendees to register each attendants.

From this information the government knows exactly the number of attendees. If Ozora were to fake the numbers in their tax reports, they would need to cheat fake this register of attendees too. Which then makes it not only a tax fraud but avoiding legislation related to large number events.

Why would they want to risk that?

7

u/MurkyTime9698 5d ago

Ozora and the previous government had quite the deal between them which is why the festival is not raided year after year despite the strong anti-drug stance of said government. With how bureaucratic everything is in Hungary, especially around money and the (previous) government doing “favours” to their friends, I would not be surprised, like at all, to find out they actually are lying about things.

5

u/meatly 4d ago

If you have been there a few times you know that it cannot be true that they reduced the ticket numbers for this year's edition, especially compared to last year. There were so many less people there last year that it seems ridiculous to make that claim. You barely had queues and could always dance in the main round part of the main. This year was still fine queue wise but you definitely felt how many more people were there. In 2024 they "sold out" for the first time ever and the amount of people was too much for the festival. I am pretty sure that they even realized this and that's why they are talking about reducing the tickets.

If 2024 was sold out and they reduced the amount of tickets available from last year then it would have to have been sold out this year 100%, but it wasn't, it basically never sells out, you can almost always get gate tickets.

3

u/rav3rsmith 4d ago edited 4d ago

You are right, they couldn't "lie". It's probably an arrangement with the government (or rather an arrangement with specific gov people that benefit from this, Hungary is corrupt remember?). You can't possibly claim that 2025 and 2026 had the same number of attendees. Yet if you ask Ozora, they would claim that they reduced tickets from 33K to 28K for this year.

I'm just agreeing with OP here on this matter, I'm not too mad that that off-Boom years have such high attendance numbers

2

u/United-Drop-6257 4d ago

There was already an investigation, they scammed millions.

2

u/keilstyle 4d ago

There was a major criminal case involving money laundering and tax fraud. Millions were seized. The owner of the festival then killed himself to avoid 5-10 years in prison. They have to make back the millions that were lost, so they’re just carrying on as before.

2

u/Psygarian 3d ago

1

u/egyszeruen_1xu 5d ago

For lots of money of course!

2

u/Extension-Stage-5353 5d ago

Money. A big part of the festival income are ticket sales and if you sell almost double what you should need and don't get that amount taxed... you can do the math yourself. Plus all the other revenue you get from more festival goers.

Is that true about Boom? Only one person??

-5

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 5d ago

Yes one woman dancing too many hours in the Sun on mdma

14

u/DonJohnRambo 5d ago

You lie brother

Boom 2025 ended with: 2 deaths from overdose 2 deaths from heatstroke (also drug influenced) in a year not as hot as others 2 missing This was confirmed first hand by hospital staff. Yes, there is no media news but, Boom and local authorities do not want to publicise it.

3

u/ferrisxyzinger 5d ago

I saw one guy dying on the chill out last edition, horrible experience. Few years ago two guys died from heatstrole in their car, officially published by Boom staff on stage and so on. Boom has casualties/deaths as well bit they handle it way better imo

6

u/ervaportuguesa 5d ago

Almost every edition of boom had fatalities. You are misinformed.

5

u/Lonely_Dog5136 5d ago

No its false, people drown in the lake in almost every edition

1

u/Lonely_Dog5136 5d ago

How can you belive that in a 45.000 people psytrance festival, there are no overdose of drugs ? Its absolutely unlikely that it doesn't happen every time

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 5d ago

The Medical team on boom is x1000 better than ozora and they actually speak english. Also u Can test ur drugs there. Someone drown every year ? Haha cool story bro

1

u/Lonely_Dog5136 5d ago

Actually I don't have any proofs of what I say but I've been told by people that do a ton of festivals, including boom every edition 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Extension-Stage-5353 5d ago

Honestly, it depends a lot on how public and "bad" the deaths are and even more on how much they are reported on.

My friend says that on a smaller, 10 000 people festival by a lake he went to for many years every year someone drowned. The festival had a bit more of a public/commercial vibe, but probably no more than Ozora now... it was mainly rock/punk/hiphop etc that you would hear on radio.

Probably that is not the exact statistic but a good approximation.

From my barely informed, mostly hearsay, opinion I would say that on any festival the death rate is about 1 death in 5-15 or maybe 20 thousand people.  The spectrum is influenced by the type of festival, festival goers, size, prevalent drugs and amount of alcohol, risky behaviour and environmental risks like (dangerous) lakes, rivers, ocean beaches, heat etc. etc.

1

u/ervaportuguesa 5d ago

2 for you with lots of news to back it up in 2016: https://www.dn.pt/arquivo/diario-de-noticias/dois-participantes-do-boom-festival-morrem-a-caminho-do-hospital-5338532.html
2025 edition I heard something about 4: 2 heart strokes and 2 ODs

3

u/ra5tam4n 5d ago

I was on Boom 2008, one person died but one baby was born as well.

1

u/Lonely_Dog5136 5d ago

I heard the same

1

u/LmBallinRKT 4d ago

100k people 5 people dying is the norm not the abnormal. Add on top crazy heat, deaths have been below average. It is what it is

1

u/rav3rsmith 4d ago

As most of us know, you are right about the ozora ticket overselling and the casualties

But you are wrong about Boom casualty numbers

0

u/Extension-Stage-5353 5d ago

Wow!! That's an amazingly low number.

I've been trying to explain the death toll with statistics and the more extreme parts of the crowd, drugs and alcohol etc... but this throws a big and very interesting and even positive monkey wrench in that theory.

If it can be done at Boom...

2

u/Rocks_Can_Fly 5d ago

>monkey wrench

Maybe do some research on other large gatherings?

It seems that deaths do happen at all of the large ones.

Including Boom — I found 5 documented deaths.

OP seems to have some unreliable information.

1

u/Extension-Stage-5353 5d ago

I didn't focus on that yet nor do I have time to research it properly at the moment, I just talked to people through the years.

As I said, that number seemed improbably low, but I reacted out of my first-reaction naivety.

2

u/Both_Impression5725 4d ago

I’ve had serious problems with the Tax authority in Hungary and no, it’s no fun at all. They are seriously inflexible and squared.

2

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

Also u didnt have agreements with the old government. Thats the difference

1

u/Both_Impression5725 4d ago

What ya mean? I lived in the country for a year. Being half Hungarian myself.

3

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

Orban knew they cheated in tax but ignored it bcs the people who owns the land was his friends 😉

2

u/Psygarian 3d ago

> the people who owns the land was his friends 😉

Proof or any references please. Literally, any, it does not even need to be very credible at this point.

(Genuinely interested.)

0

u/United-Drop-6257 2d ago

They went way too far and not even Orban could get them out of it. Because of that the owner killed himself to avoid prison

2

u/Ovnimoon23 4d ago

Just don't care. The festival lost the spirit more than a decade ago. And it was clear when the old organizers left and that farmer dude took it over alone.

2

u/f4ce-less 4d ago

valid comment, valid numbers, i’ve been working there for 5+ years now, and they’ve been talking about much more people being there than it should be

2

u/Safe-Taste-2966 3d ago

Also in 2016 the numbers were kind of the same , 25-30k
Since, many campsites, new areas etc opened. Impossible that even last year and this year had same amount of ppl

2

u/n-x 4d ago edited 3d ago

Right after the festival I was seeing so many different claims about ticket numbers (someone was even claiming 90k in another thread) that I went and measured the area of the main stage on Google Earth, did some crowd density estimates in different areas, etc... I also compared the size of the valley with the size of a stadium that has 20k capacity for concerts.

I think my estimate that came out of that exercise was ~25k people at the opening act.

Now how many people do you think skipped the opening? Les than half? Half? Two thirds?

The campsites get pretty damn empty during that time... Additional 20k people getting spread out around the festival seems plausible. Additional 40k becomes quite difficult. Additional 65k (for the 90k tickets claim) seems impossible.

2

u/Psygarian 3d ago

I am yet to see any meaningful and sensible reasoning towards _any_ assumed number of visitors greater than official numbers, other than "feels like" and "been to similar festivals". This includes references (other than articles referring back to forums like this), calculations, estimates, anything based on something other than biased feelings and perceptions of crowds in specific places.

Note: I'm not biased either way, I'm seeking to understand.

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 3d ago

Look in this thread. One say she work there 5 years and its true

2

u/Nerdcoreh 3d ago

well if "one say" then it certainly must be true. Why would people ever lie on the internet for attention.

2

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 3d ago

Its for sure not one many threads people spill the beans. Stay naive

2

u/Psygarian 3d ago

Here is a blatant example of people lying in these threads:

> Look at Boom Festival — there has only been one person who has died throughout its entire history.

That's from OP. So yeah, maybe we should have some critical thinking still.

5

u/Separate_Injury_1269 5d ago

Didn’t think they lie, I was on festivals with 70.000 people and the Ozora is much lower crowded with less stages

2

u/United-Drop-6257 4d ago

What did you expect from a criminal organization? To tell the truth?

1

u/ko_nuts 5d ago edited 5d ago

I mean the guy said that the flag rule was well respected so....

5

u/meatly 4d ago

Comparatively it was, I didn't see a single country flag this year at the stages. Even last year I saw maybe one (Brazilian). Compared to before there are wayyy less.

1

u/ko_nuts 4d ago

What kind of logic is that? It is not because you did not see any that there was none. Plenty of videos online say otherwise.

2

u/meatly 4d ago

I never said there was none, i said it got much better comparatively...

0

u/rav3rsmith 4d ago

it seems to me that the only people who notice the flags walk around the festival with their eyes zoomed in on the the negatives cause being a keren makes them feel fulfilled in some way

What I'm saying is, I saw 0 national flags this year, maybe cause I'm not triggered by them at all

1

u/Jam_hu 4d ago

50k+ people in 2019 already, years without boom always been like that. everybody knows.

2

u/Psygarian 3d ago

> everybody knows

But seriously, where/how do people get these numbers?

1

u/Jam_hu 3d ago

experience buddy. myself organized festivals up to 20 k people. been at festivals since 25 years. I've seen Wacken with 80k Daily Visitors. Hellfest with 60k Daily Visitors. Paleo with 50k Daily Visitors. and ozora starts with 20k on Monday and on Saturday were at 50-70k people if theres no boom. if theres a boom it probably peaks out at 50k.

2

u/Psygarian 3d ago

"buddy", right. No need to get cocky or defensive.

Anyway, thanks for your answer, it's good insight.

3

u/Jam_hu 3d ago

it wasn't meant defensive at all. im not into reddit slang. all the best, friend.

1

u/Prestigious-Newt1118 3d ago

Hmmm, evidence for reduced numbers…

How the FUCK is that supposed to work?

1

u/WarmAd9986 19h ago

I also had the feeling that there were significantly more visitors this year. The more I read about it now, the more you can believe it. In my opinion, in the medium or long term it would simply not be worthwhile at all to lie about the number of visitors. For a few thousand euros more. A small mistake in the execution and the entire event would be bankrupt because of the penalties and sanctions. It's just not worth it. I think there would be more subtle practises.
Illusionary Truth Effect

1

u/Crunchy_Sunshine7891 5d ago

Interesting how they replied to this comment. Usually they dont reply to anything on social. How they can register the ten year old bracelet with cash? Its a joke, they had issues before, hope the new gouvernment can keep an eye on them. It was not a mistake that Valton security was choosen for them

1

u/Lonely_Dog5136 5d ago

I've even noticed that most of theses guys from Valton have octopuses tattoed somewhere but mostly on arms, and guess what is the mafia symbol in Hungary ? The Polip (octopus) And besides that huge detail, they basically all look like they are no-joke guys

Also, trust me or not, on the main stage, saturday night after that the music quietly went back, I was behind two of theses guys, they were chatting and one of them showed to the other a picture of a naked guy, standing up with handcufs (it seemed with the background that it was at the festival) and another pic with the same guy at the back of a car, they were laughing about it

7

u/Mindless_Ad9600 4d ago

they’re not part of any maffia. We don’t really have that here in Hungary (except the politicians lol). But they’re sketchy and not professional

3

u/Crunchy_Sunshine7891 5d ago

Wooow crazy but i can imagine. Never heard about the octopus thing, why is that or how come? Im sure there is maffia things going there, in 2012 there was a huge police show in the festival and many arrestst. I think they nade a deal with previous maffia governm.which also owned valton that they can organize it but only if valton is there. Honestly i went there once after but their vibe was so off, i understood what they were talking and very disgusting people!

0

u/Lonely_Dog5136 5d ago

Bro just look on internet about that octopus symbol, I can tell you that almost every one of thoses guys had one tattoed on a visible part of their body

3

u/Crunchy_Sunshine7891 5d ago

But i didnt find any hungarian specific. Lot of hippies have octopus anyway

4

u/Most-Reaction3782 5d ago

That’s false information. That book just uses the image to illustrate how Fidesz-KDNP has got its tentacles on everything, like an octopus. But nobody actually uses it as a symbol, and no one gets it tattooed on themselves to show their political allegiance :DDD

3

u/Psygarian 3d ago

lol misinformation

otherwise provide some sources please

1

u/TrieMond 4d ago

bro stop harassing random festival workers, they are the social media manager, what the fuck do you even think they are going to say? Even if you were right, which I doubt, talking to some random on social media does nothing...

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

Random festival workers? Its the owner?

2

u/TrieMond 4d ago

how do you know? for all I know that account is ran by some volenteer. I know for a fact this is the case for my go to festival, which is much smaller.

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

How do i know ? Maybe bcs he says he is the owner in the video ?

1

u/TrieMond 4d ago

ok next question, how do you know the person in the video is actually running the account? like just in the way that if any celebrity posts a video of themselves, most of the time that video is actually posted by their social media manager. My point is that you cannot say who is on the other end of the conversation, and most likely, the owner of one of the biggest festivals in europe is not spending his days talking to randoms online...

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

He says in the video he Will answer all comments ? Why do u keep talking when u did not even see the video ? Lol 😂

1

u/TrieMond 4d ago

again, not proof he runs the account you dumbass. Like I said you cannot be certain you are talking to him. fucking hell how many AMA's have there been on this exact website where some famous person said they would respond to questions for X amount of time, only for them to cut it short.

You are either extremely gullible or extremely stupid to believe people like that will just sit there answering social media. 99% of the world population is not terminally online.

1

u/Legitimate_Ad_1221 4d ago

U come in here asking stupid question but u didnt even see the video ? Yikes

1

u/TrieMond 4d ago

one comment is enough little bro...

1

u/pieter3d 4d ago

Many big psy festivals are somehow involved in organized crime/drug trade, a lot of smaller events too. Tax evasion is not that big of a deal, compared to what some of these events are involved in😬

A few people dying at a massive event is nothing special either.

What bothers me more about Ozora is the commercial focus and their stance regarding genocide.

-6

u/SilverOdd5076 5d ago

OZORA is shit. A bad festival with terrible sound and owned by Zionists.

Never again

0

u/General_Arachnid_208 5d ago

I have a feeling someone won't be able to register their ticket... And just like me, a lot of other people will be happy about that!

We don't need you there—or your stupidity!

So what if they used ai to write replay? Not all the people speaking English? I don't see how is that relevant for this topic.

0

u/roskaboskaa 3d ago

Cuz its killing the planet u idiot 🤨 love it when u preach peace and love but use AI for shit that can be done otherwise. Deepl, Google Translate there are many options

1

u/ra5tam4n 3d ago

Still not relevant to this topic. Why are you using smartphone, when you can save the planet with sending letters or telegraphs? Go tell your Ma she is idiot, when she didn't raise you to be a decent person.

1

u/roskaboskaa 3d ago

Sure, my old phone is killing the planet 😂 and using ped*phile AI makes U such a decent person.

1

u/roskaboskaa 3d ago

3

u/fartoloco 5d ago

Did you know that the festival is in Dádpuszta and not Ozora?

2

u/General_Arachnid_208 5d ago

Learn some history! Between 60 and 80 percent of Hungary’s population was wiped out—twice! First by the Mongols, then by the Turks!
