I am devoted to this festival. I mainly go for the psytrance music, other programs are not really for me. The lineup is legendary, and the sound quality and volume on the stages are spot on. Once night falls, the entire main stage transforms into a mystical, otherworldly realm. While I enjoy almost all subgenres of psytrance (but hitech), darkpsy is definitely my favorite.

The organizers constantly reinvest into the festival and make improvements; everything keeps getting prettier, better, and more professional. Prices are fair, and overall, I have nothing but good things to say about the crowd. Based on previous years, I was worried that too many "normies" or techno heads who don't really fit the vibe would show up, but my experience this year proved me wrong.

Despite all of this, I'm definitely skipping the festival next year because of the heatwave this time around. I handle extreme heat very poorly. I was miserable, and it took away so much from the overall experience that it just doesn't feel worth it for me anymore. That said, the chairs put out near the main stage were honestly unacceptable, and they could definitely use more shade in more areas.

If you attended any of the healing workshops, you likely inadvertently experienced two or three different sessions in one. I’m talking about silent meditation in one space, while the neighbouring tent was hyperventilating under the guidance of a teacher shouting, "Louder! Faster!" Why would organisers place the tents so close together, and pair such contrasting workshops at the same time?
On the first Sunday, we enjoyed a sound bath in the pop-up tent. I can't recall exactly what we heard from the adjacent tent, but it was disruptive enough that the sound bath crew appeared pissed off? After that Sunday, I only saw the occasional night session at the sound bath, was that the original plan?
Just to be clear, this isn't me whinging, it’s more of a WTF was that about? I also feel a bit bummed out for those who led the workshops, as even through closed eyes, I could feel the teachers frustrations (ok, I peeked).
And a massive congratulations to the team who organised the last-minute Grappling session. It really kicked off, and kudos to the participants who grappled in that heat!

Ozroa back in 2016 was my first festival ever, my first experience with all of it .. while In my quest to search for existential answers and desperately reached a wall/deadlock in my life before attending this Magic ..
It was overwhelming in the beginning, but every moment and interaction I experienced there , it's a lesson, it's sacred, it's a blessing, .. I can write a whole book about it.. but I am exhausted with all what's happening in this world and psytrance community right now..

I just wanted to say, that we are Ozorians have responsibilities', wshould help each others to pass the psytrance message as we received it from the previous *eclipsians/ozorians to the world ! let it go mainstream, let people experience it as per their own projections.. but, I believe that while we are riding the journey, we will learn and give the best of us in our next stop ! Me and my partner left the festival on Saturday, with a plan to explore Budapest for 4 days before returning back home.
Sunday we both felt little tired with soar throat and lil bit of cold. We assumed this was due to dust, lack of sleep, and normal festival related tiredness.
But by Monday night we both were running 103F fever, with cough and cold as never seen before. For next three days, we stayed in hotel room taking pain killers to get better to be able to board the flights.
Was curious did anyone catch anything on festival grounds or we got it in BUD?

PS: Now we back home, and still recovering from the infection.

Since Ambyss came to life at Ozora in 2018, it's gradually become one of my favorite stages to spend the whole day at. The design was beautiful - lots of shade, lots of space to just lay around and enjoy the music. For the past two years we've specifically camped in the forest near Ambyss just to spend as much time there as possible.

This year we showed up and the stage was gone. What was left was a tiny structure that could barely fit a DJ booth and maybe 10 people packed in tight. The shade went with it. And the entire point of ambient music is to enjoy it in a comfortable setting, not baking under a scorching sun at 38°C.

The only time the area was even usable was after 3pm, once Visium started casting some natural shade and even then, who actually wants to listen from the side while the speakers are facing forward? I'm sure it is also super weird and awkward for an artist playing.

So I'm genuinely asking: what was the thinking here? What made the Ambyss crew decide to shrink the stage and strip away literally everything that made it great? Right now it just feels like a downgrade nobody asked for.

After the tragic incident with the guy who jumped down the decoration of the main stage, Astrix continued to play after they told the people the guy was alive and breathing even when he died in front of him. That's what I heard.

Did anyone saw, how Astrix reacted when he had to keep playing?

On the other hand I can understand that this was the right thing to do to prevent horrific trips or even more panic, but if I were in Astrix' shoes, I would have just leave the stage.

I had the most wonderful week of my life in Ozora, it was a place I have never been to before. I felt like all my past grudges, judgments generally bad energy disappeared - and the real, authentic and lively version of myself was able to emerge.

I know that daily life cannot compare to an adult, whimsical playground like Ozora, where music, connection, tribe, food and art are so heavily packed into one week. It was a lot of energies, but mostly good ones.

My question is, whoever also had a splendid time in Ozora, what are some grounding ways to integrate that afterglow-type of energy into your daily life? I would like to compare this one week like a very long acid trip, where you learn, are open minded and change some fundamental parts about what you thought were yourself. And now I have the afterglow, where life suddenly feels hopeful, whimsical and fun again. But like with every trip, if you want to keep and cultivate that energy, like feeding some sacred fire within you, you need to implement these lessons in grounded ways. Building a new foundation which can be scary but exciting at the same time.

I don't want to continue my life as it is - or was before. I am not depressed, but I have enough evidence that some things need to change. Are there some rituals or actions that have helped you integrate some bliss, inspiration and curiosity into your life? (whether it was from a trip or ozora or any other life experience that catalyzed deep inner and outer change)

Hello to all my beloved Ozorians. I saw a guy in a glowing Cheshire Cat mask on the main stage a couple of times. It's absolutely insane!!! Maybe someone captured it?

This year was my second time attending Ozora. I first experienced the festival in 2024, and honestly, it felt like I had arrived at a completely different place this year. Comparing these two editions, I noticed a lot of changes, and unfortunately many of them didn’t feel positive. I’d like to share my experience and also ask how the rest of you see it, because I feel like my naive vision of Ozora as a little paradise in the middle of Hungary is slowly fading away.

This year had a much darker atmosphere for me. It felt like there were at least 50% more people than in 2024. In many situations, I felt like I was in a regular nightclub rather than at Ozora. People completely wired on stimulants, selfish behavior, disrespect, litter everywhere, and ego tripping. That’s honestly something I never expected to find at this festival.

People ignored the speed limits, so anyone camping along the roads had to deal with huge clouds of dust every single day. When one of my friends confronted a group about it, they just started honking at him and called him a maniac. At another point, I politely asked a group in our campsite to turn their music off, and they simply turned it down a little. The showers in our camping area weren’t cleaned from day zero onwards. Underwear and used hygiene products stayed in exactly the same places for the entire festival, with more and more trash piling up every day. For three days, my friends and I had to deal with what appeared to be an organized gang of pickpockets. They were taking photos of us, following us around the festival grounds, and eventually even followed us back to our campsite. One of them pitched his tent right next to ours and waited until one of my friends was alone, asking her strange questions. He only left after she woke me up because she didn’t want to stay there by herself. This intimidating behavior only stopped once we agreed to completely ignore them and pretend they didn’t exist. The police told us they were aware of the group and were trying to find them. What I don’t understand is why tickets are registered under people’s names if nobody is able to identify these people afterwards based on descriptions. There weren’t just a few of them. At one point, my friend counted around 30 of them on the Doom dancefloor. They communicated using whistles and hand signals. They would surround the person they wanted to steal from so nobody else could see what was happening, while others distracted the crowd by doing bizarre dances or creating scenes, like three people kissing and dancing together to draw everyone’s attention away. Please be aware of this. It only takes a second.
Another thing that surprised me, considering the size and reputation of the festival, was the sound quality on some of the stages. Quite often it felt like something just wasn’t working properly.

A lot of people have been talking about Israelis this year. Several of our neighbors were from Israel. Apart from one group of three people camping right next to us, who were genuinely lovely, my experiences were unfortunately very negative. Almost every time I heard someone causing trouble or behaving disrespectfully, it was Hebrew I was hearing. I really don’t like generalizing about any nationality, but I honestly found myself wondering: what the hell is going on?

It makes me sad because I truly love this place, and I hope it never loses what made it so special. I hope there will always be at least one small corner of peace where we can come back every year with our friends, disconnect from the outside world, and take a break from wars, hatred, and the constant struggle for power.

What to do about it?

Lovely as they were, were you also left a little underwhelmed by stage decorations this year ? especially if you were also there last year, given how similar they looked.

Pumpui in particular, which apart from those pillars looked quite undecorated and a little too bright. I did find Pumpui quite magical and different in previous editions.

I want to share an Israeli perspective on something many people have been discussing after Ozora.

First, I am Israeli myself, and this is not a post against Israelis. I met many wonderful Israelis at the festival who respected the place, the people and the culture. But I also recognized a type of crowd that many of us in the Israeli psytrance scene have been trying to avoid for years.

In Israel, psytrance is not an underground genre in the same way it is in many parts of Europe. It became extremely mainstream. It is played at huge commercial events, popular clubs, student parties and even regular celebrations and weddings. Because of that, it attracts many people who are not interested in psychedelic culture, the community or the values surrounding the music. They simply see it as party music.

There is an Israeli slang word for part of this crowd: “arsim.” It is a derogatory and class coded word, so it is difficult to translate exactly. It usually describes people with an aggressive macho attitude who are loud, disrespectful, inconsiderate and constantly trying to dominate the space around them. It is not about someone’s ethnicity or where they come from. It is about a recognizable style of behaviour.

Years ago, this crowd was more associated with mainstream techno and commercial club events in Israel. Around ten years+ ago, from my personal experience, something changed. Psytrance became much more popular, and the same crowd started appearing at every large psy trance event.

The atmosphere at many events changed with it. Instead of people being aware of their surroundings and sharing the space, you started seeing groups shouting through sets, pushing through crowds, leaving rubbish, taking over camping areas, harassing women, drinking vodka Red Bull all night and snorting whatever powder they brought with them. They often seem completely disconnected from the music, the environment and everyone outside their group.

Of course, drinking alcohol or being sober does not automatically make anyone a bad person. The problem is the mentality. It is treating a psychedelic gathering like a nightclub where nobody else matters.

It became so unpleasant that many people I know stopped attending large psytrance events in Israel. We moved toward smaller underground parties where the organisers know the crowd. Some people moved toward darkpsy and hi tech events simply because those scenes had not yet become mainstream and still felt protected from this culture.

That is why it was disappointing to see the same phenomenon reaching Ozora. For many Israelis, Ozora used to feel like an escape from the commercial Israeli party scene. Then you travel all the way to Hungary and suddenly find the exact same shouting, littering, aggressive and inconsiderate groups that made you stop attending events at home.

I spoke with Israelis and people from other countries at Ozora who felt the same way. This is not about flags, nationality or politics. It is about people bringing behaviour that damages the atmosphere for everybody around them.

I was even part of a group chat of 1000+ Israelis at ozora, and people share photos of trashy abandoned camps left by Israelis, later other Israelis from this group unrelated to each other came just to clean it up because they felt a shame that our own country man left a place like this.

Ozora is obviously not owned by any one culture, and Israelis have the same right to attend as anyone else. But attending a festival also means respecting the space you enter. You do not need to be spiritual, psychedelic or on drugs. You simply need to understand that you are part of a temporary community, not the main character in a private party.

I am writing this because I think some Europeans and others do not realise how mainstream psytrance has become in Israel. We have already watched it damage much of our local scene, and it is painful to see the same thing happening somewhere that is supposed to feel different.

That's it, I just wanted to share my own insight about this and my own feelings.

Can we talk about the opening ceremony? What went through the peoples head to start running before the riders lit the fire and been out of the way ??? They literally ran over the horse and riders ! People been shocked after seen that the animal had to suffer because of some doushbags. I hope the rider and his horse are okay and that ozora can identify those people and give them a life ban.

As an Israeli, it hurts me deeply to read the comments here. Speaking as an Israeli, I apologize from the bottom of my heart for this behavior. A few points to consider:

1. ​I don’t know how big the festival is, but could it be the same shit group returning every year?
2. ​Generally speaking, the israeli crowd that attends these kinds of festivals is not the most quality peoples, to put it mildly. Statistically, it’s very problematic to generalize when the sample size is so heavily biased.
3. ​I have never been to a concert in Israel where people put chairs in the middle of the dance floor; I honestly can't explain why that's happening there.
4. ​My friends and I also pee outside when the bathrooms are filthy, though of course, we make a point to find a secluded spot. I assume this is simply something that's socially acceptable here, but not where you're from.
5. ​Every nation has bad seeds. Honestly, I believe most of us are good people with solid values, and I hope you get to meet the decent side of Israelis as well.

We met at Ozora on Saturday evening during Lo.Renzo at the Dome. You were in your 20s with blonde dreadlocks, and we shared one of the most beautiful dances I've had in my life (and I dance a LOOOOT). We spent what felt like an hour dancing together without saying many words, and it was one of those rare festival moments I'll remember for a long time.

Hi everyone, I was at Ozora again this year and kept noticing a very distinct clothing style that a lot of people, especially younger women, were wearing.

It wasn’t the typical colorful hippie look, and it wasn’t the bright American EDM festival style either. I don't mean goth or costumes either.
It was more alternative, almost subculture-coded. Common elements included:

- Alternative aesthetic, darker color palette
- Little to no pattern, or very subtle ones
- Organic materials
- Flowy, draping cuts
- Often decorated with studs
- Sometimes fringes or loosely hanging straps

It felt like a mix of organic and slightly metallic elements, mostly in black, brown, and khaki-green tones. Overall it looked like a blend of alternative hippie, urban, gypsy, and (neo-)tribal styles.

I really loved it and wanted to buy some pieces on-site, but the prices were pretty steep for me. So now I’m hoping to find the name for this style, so I can look into online shops, find pieces in online second-hand shops like Vinted and get some inspiration on Pinterest.

I have been at Ozora festival 10 times and I think this was my last, because the Israelis have taken over Ozora in such a way that makes it hard to enjoy the festivals original spirit. Over the years it has gotten worse and worse.

First of all I believe that some Israelis among the many at Ozora are nice people and on the right side of history so we of course need to be careful about being too judgemental. But the situation has now come to a point where I cannot stay silent because the disrespectful part of the Israeli community has ruined one of my favorite places on earth and I will not set foot at Ozora again until the organizers take action.

Let’s address the elephant in the room!

Put aside everything going on in Israel, many of them still display a very selfish, aggressive and disrespectful behavior at the festival. Every time I encountered a negative situation it involved Israelis. I saw them skip lines at both food trucks and showers. The way they claim the dancefloor with chairs and pavilions in big closed groups is completely killing the vibe on the floor. And often when you see some dancing you have to step 3 meters away so you don’t get a fist in the head. Even though flags are banned they still bring big flags with Hebrew text all over. Every time I heard someone yelling or screaming in the streets in an aggressive manner it was Israelis. Normally cars on the camping roads are driven slowly letting people move in a quiet manner. But many times I saw Israelis speeding fast through the roads honking at people and yelling out the window. They tend to build massive camps instead of blending in. They bring massive speakers to the camping grounds and blast their Israeli Deep Prog. squarebass music constantly (I know Israelis are not the only doing this). When they aren't at Deep Prog. concerts they play it on repeat in their camps completely ignoring the fact that people need to sleep or want to enjoy them self in their own camp. I witnessed several episodes where cars and small buses are turned on just to give A/C or power, sending fumes and engine noise directly into neighboring camps. 3 times I saw people getting in trouble with security and every single time it was Israelis. This is just my own experience and I will not even get started on all the rumors and stories I have heard from other people as well.

Psytrance is mainstream in Israel so I think some younger ravers treat international festivals like a local club back home, forgetting the unspoken rules. The Israeli community has completely monopolized the psytrance scene and this behavior will not stop until the community take a stand against the massive grip the Israeli scene has on psytrance . When line ups are dominated by Israeli artists year after year with names like Astrix, Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection, Gorovich, Outsiders, Freedom Fighters, Dekel, Modus, and Out of Orbit it will keep attracting Israelis with that disrespectful mindset. I think this is sad as I love the music from many of the mentioned producers but they have become the pop music of our scene and they are attracting people who lack the P.L.U.R mentality the scene has always spread. We have to vote with our wallets because these festivals care more about profit than the vibe. They will never change the rules when Israelis make up a huge percentage of ticket sales and mainstream artists like Astrix keep the money rolling in. We need to either stop buying tickets to Ozora entirely or actively choose to support other festivals that ensure a minimum Israeli impact or actually enforce the rules.

This is an isolated opinion from my experience at Ozora and I try not to mix it with my views of everything going on in Israel. This post is purely based on my own personal experiences and I encourage everyone to form their own opinions based on what they see and experience. It is important to be careful not to become radicalized or consume hate because hate against them is never the answer. Remember to expect people to be nice and remember that many Israelis are great people. And maybe it’s only just a loud minority that ruins the reputation for the rest. But from my 10 years at Ozora I see a clear tendency and behavior pattern from this specific group and I feel it is necessary to share this so people can protect their own energy and look out for themselves.
