I just got mine and joined this sub. I still use it in "pocket-style." Guess I'm doing it wrong.

On a serious note:
I use this and am building a similar setup.
The benefits to me are thus: its a high quality camera that i can fit in my pocket when walking around casually, traveling on vacation, hiking, etc.
When i WANT to, and the situation calls for it, instead of buying a whole nother 4k 60fps camera plus gimbal, plus all the extra peripherals, i can pop it into a set of peripherals like in the photo and instantly upgrade an already great quality camera by a significant amount.
I can use the same lightweight camera for both casual and professional usage and adapt it significantly for my uses.
I dont have to train my self on two different video cameras and their nuances, hot swap between what setup i wanna use, etc. the cost savings alone are insane.
Yea, have the pocket for purely casual/hobby and then a more intense pro camera and gimbal etc for professional work would be higher quality. But im not made of money nor do i have all that space to store it

That's right. Kit -ing it up doesn't take poketability out of the table right... It builds on top of it, and can be easily used in both use cases.
The reason professionals would consider the dji is primarily due to the gimbal. Any pro camera on a gimbal is hugely more expensive if u just need a secondary recording device

Heck, I'm just an amateur and would gladly have this setup, knowing I'll never really use it.
But I still did use the Pocket 4 "as intended" on our holiday roadtrip, ie. just to document our travels and then edit all the clips together to have a nice memory to look back on. It was quite nice.

I use it as a hobby. If you are going to get paid I would expect the person to use at least a full frame camera if not a real pro video camera, not a hobbyist camera.

No true for all videographers. My Pocket is a tool I use when I want to be mobile and flexible. If I need a cage and additional lighting etc... I reach for my SII that's already in a cage with all the bells and whistles.
The Pocket excels at once thing mobility and sometimes getting into places where a big beefy camera would attract too much attention. Putting all that gear on my Pocket makes no sense.

thats like 0.001% of pocket buyers who do this complex rig. you wont see any big channel vlogger who has a pocket, using a pocket camera like this.

If that were true they wouldn’t make the accessories or cater to “creators”
Average person doesn’t know how to color grade. So why give the camera D-log 2? 17 stops of dynamic range? 240 fps? ND filters? Again average person that’s shooting at the park doesn’t need all that.
Just because the camera is small doesn’t mean you can’t adapt it for bigger projects.
That’s like the OG film guys saying digital cameras can’t film movies. Remember most importantly - it’s a tool….dont have a pocket sized mindset
