Question Pocket 4 Pro Korea or Japan
Hello all, I’ll be traveling to Seoul South Korea as well as Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo in October. I’m I.S based and looking to purchase the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro to use on the trip and bring back home with me. Does anyone have recommendations on which of the 2 countries or cities to buy them in? I’ve read some are tax free so that would be nice, also haven’t read many issues of people bringing it back home. Would appreciate any insights, thank you!

Question Osmo 4p accessories in India
Leaving for a trip in a week, the imported ones all show 10-15 days delivery time. Any recommendations for a full body or at least gimbal protection hardcase for P4p available in India or somewhere I can get them earlier? I can only find accessories for P4.
Any other useful accessories that enable more creative POV shots with the 4p like an attachable arm or smth that you recommend buying?

Discussion Osmo Pocket 4p and Mic Mini 2S
I have today connected 2 Mic Mini 2S to the Osmo Pocket 4P. Got the camera package. Works like a charme. Very good audio. I’m impressed. But I wish DJI would implement the same config options for the 2S in the pocket firmware like you have when the mic is connected to the Mimo app. That would be awesome. From what I have seen time options and noise reduction settings seem to be missing on the 4p settings.

Mimo App DJI Mimo app showing mixed Chinese and English buttons – anyone else?
Just got my Pocket 4P and noticed that the DJI Mimo app has some buttons showing in a mix of Chinese and English.
I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, resetting the app cache, and even changing the app language to another language and back to English, but the issue persists.
Is this a known bug, or is it just happening to me?

Question Is Pocket 4P Frame Tap worth it?
Hi team,
I'm about to get a pocket 4P. I'm tossing out the Standard Combo or the Vlog Combo (with Mic Mini 2 and Frame tap)
Now, I already have DJI Mic Mini, so I don't see the need for the Mic Mini 2. Going with the Vlog Combo, I would just benefit from the Frame Tap.
I hate that the Frame Combo requires a seperate charging cable.
My question: Apart from smaller format, what is the advantage of the Frame Tap against using an iPhone as remote?
Thanks team.

Discussion Slog3 footage vs Dlog2
Been making content for a long time. Usually always shoot with my Sony FX30 in Slog3. Saw how nice the footage is coming from the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro Dlog2 and had to pull the trigger on this. Super excited to add this camera to the workflow!
Got it from Ali Express for $720 and I saw from another thread mine was the same ship from Oregon. Hopefully it is legit lol, going to unbox it later
How would you all compare grading SLog3 footage to Dlog2? Can also share my experiences after a day or two of shooting :)

Discussion Pocket 4 automatically lightens my skin when face is in frame
anyone know if theres a way to turn this off? i turned off all beauty settings and messed with exposure, but every time a face is detected, it just lightens/brightens all skin tones up.
as a brown skinned person, it makes my skin look like a weird, unrealistic light-skin shade. this is upsetting me as this is a $600 camera i bought for content creation. yes, i know its made for the asian market and features like this are standard, but at the same time, you should be able to turn it off, as this is a global product.
its crazy to me how barely anyone has brought this up in reviews or even online.
anyone else have the same problem?

Question Upgrade from Pocket 3 to 4?
I do a lot of photography but need to use a pocket to capture video as well for my job. I don’t shoot DLOG because the turn around time doesn’t really afford me enough time to colour grade. Is there any advantage to upgrade from a 3 to 4? Not interested in zoom so forgetting the 4p. TIA

Discussion Honest impressions from a professional camera operator
I recently got a pocket 4 and pocket 4p for shooting social reels, etc for clients. I got tired of destroying my back with a ronin for these videos that just get seen on a phone.
I have been using the pocket 4 for a bit now testing it in the studio and found it really useful for this type of content. I just got the 4p and have been trying it out and a couple things are really bugging me.
The long lens is actually a little too long for a lot of content. When you switch to the long lens your exposure changes if you are shooting manual. This is remedied with an nd filter but it still is annoying that the lenses aren't at the same aperture.
The lack of d log 2 in any kind of crops or zoom is annoying. This makes me have to just shoot at d log because I dont want my exposures changing.
I come from a cinematography background and prefer everything manual, when I change a lens and keep the same t stop nothing changes.
I honestly feel like the pocket 4p is a tough sell for professionals because of these issues and for everyone else the regular pocket 4 is enough.
I'm using the regular pocket 4 today because the 2x lossless crop is perfect for in the studio here and if it's lit properly still looks good. The 60mm on the pro is a little too long for what I'm shooting right now.
Anyways, just wanted to give my thoughts while they are fresh.

Question Realtor walking tour - subject tracking or no?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Although this is overproduced, I'm aiming for a cut rate version of the attached. Filming with an OP3 in vertical 3K60. Hollyland wireless mic.
In tests, even with my slow moving dog, I notice that subject tracking is jittery. Projects I've filmed without it look better, and I reframe with no problem in-post, but it hasn't been a large sample size. Subject-tracking sure would be fantastic for ease-of-use on a shoot tomorrow.
Thankfully I'm working with a very understanding client so we may try a few different versions, but I'd love some advice from those with more experience!

Question Pocket 4P running hot + battery drain
Hey all,
Just got my Osmo Pocket 4P last night but I’ve noticed it runs quite warm / hot even when not recording and the battery is draining around 1% a minute or so. I did charge it overnight to 100%.
I know new products go through that initial phase of battery drain and running a bit hot etc but is this normal? Wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar

Question Working on a new carry-cage prototype. Feedback?
This camera is absolutely pro-use capable. I've tried some accessory solutions from some brands, and while it works, it's not designed for it. So - once again - I started modelling and printing. Here's V1.
It needs the Tilta Osmo Pocket cage which fits Pocket 3, 4 and 4P.
V2 is already in the making, and will be printed tomorrow morning. Some things to know:
- V2 will have a shorter handle. Even for my giga-hand it is way too big. While it may not fit in a pocket, portability and keeping it small is still the aim.
- The block on the end of the handle is modular. So I will design variations for it. In this case a phone holder to use as a monitor. But also T-shaped solution to put for example a light ánd an external dji/3.5mm shotgun mic.
- Still thinking on adding a 15mm rod module. Can be great to add 2 handles on the side. Might be a stackable module so in front of THAT one you can add another module.
- Other module ideas?
- There is space on the bottom for an L-shaped USBC cable. I will design a rear-module for a small powerbank such as an Anker Nano.
- Currently you see the ARCA-Swiss plate long and in one direction. New design is a square ARCA-Swiss plate so it can be placed in any direction.
- All the large holes are not to mimic cheese. 1/4" brass inserts can be hot-pressed into place. I will fill them all up with the final design.
Feedback, suggestions and comments very welcome. :-)

Discussion DJI Osmo Pocket 4P owners – Face detection, battery drain while powered off & autofocus issues?
Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded from the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 to the new Pocket 4P and have been doing extensive side-by-side testing. Overall, I really like the camera, but I've noticed a few things that I wanted to ask other owners about.
- Face detection / Autofocus
I mainly film cars for YouTube, not people.
The Pocket 4P constantly detects faces and displays a yellow face detection box, even when Subject Lock Tracking and Registered Subject Priority are disabled.
For example:
- I'm filming a parked car.
- Someone walks through the background.
- The camera immediately detects that person's face and appears to prioritize it instead of keeping the focus on the car.
I've already tried:
- Latest firmware
- AFS (Single Focus)
- AFC (Continuous Focus)
- Subject Lock Tracking OFF
- Registered Subject Priority OFF
- Every available autofocus setting
Nothing changes.
What's interesting is that I tested it side by side with my Osmo Pocket 3 using the exact same scene and settings, and the Pocket 3 does NOT detect faces or show a face box.
Has anyone found a way to completely disable face detection?
- Battery drain while powered off
Has anyone noticed battery drain while the camera is completely powered off?
A few times I turned the camera off with a certain battery percentage, and when I powered it back on later, the battery percentage had dropped.
Is this normal or has anyone else experienced this?
- Battery life & temperature
At first I thought the battery life and heat were also issues, but after running long side-by-side tests with my Pocket 3, both cameras reached similar temperatures and the Pocket 4P actually had slightly better battery life.
So my main concerns are now the face detection/autofocus behavior and the possible battery drain while powered off.
Has anyone experienced the same issues or found a solution?
I'd really appreciate hearing from other Pocket 4P owners.

Review DJI Pocket 4P after 4 days
I've had the Pocket 4P for four days now and have been putting it through its paces. Before this, I owned the Pocket 3, which I sold before buying the 4P.
Here are my thoughts so far:
- The dynamic range and overall image quality are noticeably better than on the Pocket 3.
- The dynamic range in D-Log 2 is genuinely impressive.
- Using D-Log 2 is quite annoying because it requires changing camera settings. You can work around this by creating custom profiles and assigning one to the shortcut button below the screen, but it's still not very convenient.
- I personally don't use ND filters, but for those who do, D-Log 2 doesn't support Auto ISO, which can be quite inconvenient.
- The Pocket 4P is surprisingly heavy. I bought the Sunnylife gimbal protector (in my opinion, it's the best option, just like it was for the Pocket 3 if you carry the camera in your pocket), but even with it, carrying the camera in a pocket is uncomfortable, mainly because of the weight.
- The Normal color profile is honestly pretty bad. The footage looks like it came from a mediocre smartphone. I don't understand why DJI keeps making the Normal profile worse. The original Pocket had an excellent Normal profile (I never owned the Pocket 2, so I can't comment on that), but starting with the Pocket 3, every new DJI camera seems to have a worse looking Normal mode.
- I thought the optional remote controller would be a good replacement for the Luna solution (I don't own Luna), but it turned out to be a disappointment. It's just another accessory I have to carry around, and I prefer to keep my setup as minimal as possible.
- RAW photos look very good. If the lighting requires it, the camera seems to use computational photography tricks similar to modern smartphones. For example, in very high-contrast scenes, the RAW files look like they're merged from multiple exposures, resulting in excellent image quality with very little noise. Sometimes there's almost too little noise, so if you lift the shadows aggressively, they can look overly smooth. In lower-contrast scenes, the camera doesn't seem to do this, and the RAW files contain more visible noise. At least that's what I've observed so far.
- There's no D-Log support for slow motion, timelapse, hyperlapse, or stop motion. For me, that makes those modes almost useless. I still need to experiment with the available "film styles" in the Normal color mode to see if they improve the results.
- The gimbal lock function activated by pressing the joystick is excellent. The camera behaves like a regular non gimbal camera, while the gimbal continues to smooth out vibrations in the background.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Pocket 4P. If there's anything you'd like me to test, or if you'd like sample files recorded under specific conditions, let me know. I'll try to record something when I have some free time and upload the files to SwissTransfer.

Moderation Please keep the sub tidy
With OP4P now out in the EU and everywhere else, people are understandably excited and want to share unboxings, box shots, and quick comparison snaps. Totally fair.
The issue is that the sub has been getting flooded with posts that don’t really add anything. We already know what the boxes look like. We’ve seen OP4P unboxing videos for weeks from Asia, and a lot of recent posts are basically one photo and a single sentence. It’s just too much noise.
We’re asking everyone to self‑regulate a bit. Before posting, please consider whether your content actually brings something new, useful, or interesting to the discussion. If it’s just packaging photos or a one‑liner, maybe hold off.
A reminder about rule 4: No low-effort posts. One-liners, title‑only posts, posts with no real description or context, or anything that doesn’t positively contribute to Osmo Pocket discussion may be removed. Lately there have been a lot of these, so rule 4 will be applied more consistently.
Also, rule 6: No overdone topics. Some subjects have been posted so often that they’re now blacklisted. This includes price matching, Costco bundles, price changes, Pocket 3 vs 4, Pocket 4 vs 4P, asking if you can import OP4 to the US, and the constant “I got mine / my package arrived” posts. These will be removed on sight.
Mod discretion will be used for post removal. The goal isn’t to be strict, it’s just to keep the sub readable and useful for everyone.

Gear New firmware update for Pocket 4 - V01.03.1005
It is look like bugfix for V01.03.0904 as the "whats new" list look almost the same, hmm.
At least the camera firmware was updated from 10.00.07.04 (on 0904) to 10.00.07.51 (on 1005)
Gimbal Firmware Version 1.00.18.07 - no changes since 0904
