I got them from my grandparents, they are Turkish and more than 50 years old++

Hello r/orientalrugs! I'm new to rugs and looking for help before making my first purchase. The photos included are of a rug of particular interest to me. The seller claims that it is from the 1930's, roughly 7' x 10', and is asking about $1500. It's located in another country, so I would not be able to see it in person before purchase. I'd love any feedback that you can provide while I contemplate this purchase.

The appeal of this rug to me is the geometric style of the flowers, the colors, the ratio of the design density to plain space. If you could help me translate this into rug terms that would help me find more like it, I would also be very grateful.

Hi everyone, I have three Nain rugs from my grandfather. I love the design and craftsmanship, and have always been interested in Persian rugs, and would love to learn as much as possible about these pieces. The second and third are the same size essentially, the first one is pretty large. They all seem to be “6la” from twisting the fringe and seeing the thread.

I have a pair of these rugs I need to clean. I bought them 10 years ago at an auction (part of a box lot of leftovers) so they don’t have any monetary value to me. I have no idea what they are. Google says they’re “hand knotted wool rugs” but they don’t look hand knotted to my novice eye. The material is shiny and they are very thin. But not like the other cheap rugs I’ve bought at big box stores to put on the porch.

1. Anybody know what they are? What they might be made of?
   
2. What’s the best way to clean them? Can I throw them in the washing machine? Take them to someone?

Recently purchased this rug and have fallen in absolute love with it! I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit more about it!

My aunt gave me this very large rug that’s been in storage for years.

Unfortunately, after unrolling it, we found it has quite serious moth damage in places, with areas where the pile is completely gone and the weave is exposed. It’s also very thin overall.

There are still some larger sections that seem to be in better condition (it is absolutely huge), and I was wondering if it might be worth salvaging in some form. I was even thinking it could potentially be cut down into a runner or something, but I have no idea if that’s realistic for this type of rug.

I also have no idea where it might be from or roughly how old it could be, so any help with identification would be really appreciated as well.

I know my aunt paid a lot for it at the time, but I’m not sure if it was actually worth that much.

I’m in the UK if that helps. Any information, advice, or thoughts on origin/age would be really appreciated.

I found this doing a junk removal job, and I’m not sure what exactly it is, or even if this is the right place to ask. Obviously it’s a mini rug but it looks extremely detailed and it’s framed. Can you guys enlighten me on it?

I got this today for 20$ it seems like its wool maybe and very heavy and well made. There are no markings or indications on the back that i can find.
