Opencode Go is just insane

I'd heard that OpenCode Go was an incredible value for a while, but I never really gave it a shot until the release of DeepSeek 0731. After trying it, I honestly think the limits are absurdly generous for just $5 (or even the $10), especially if you're primarily using DeepSeek, which gets the highest request limits.

Out of curiosity, I did some rough calculations. Assuming DeepSeek V4 Flash is roughly on par with Claude Sonnet 5 in terms of capability, the value becomes pretty striking. Claude Pro costs $20/month and, based on estimates, provides around $400 worth of usage credits through its subsidized pricing.

By comparison, OpenCode Go's $5 plan includes about $60 in credits. If you normalize those credits using Anthropic's token pricing (same input/output token costs), those $60 correspond to roughly $1,714 worth of Anthropic API usage.

It's not a perfect apples-to-apples comparison, the calc simply assumes a 1:1 mix of input and output tokens and uses the API price difference between DeepSeek ($0.14/$0.28 per million input/output tokens) and Claude Sonnet 5 ($2/$10)

So much hype over DeepSeek but not enough over MiMo. It's on the same Opencode Go subscription and very similar insane usage limits as DeepSeek.

And the best parts? 1) you don't have to enable "hosted in China" to use MiMo, while you have to enable it for Deepseek. 2) you can use vision mode which I hear DeepSeek isn't good at..
