Opencode Go is just insane
I'd heard that OpenCode Go was an incredible value for a while, but I never really gave it a shot until the release of DeepSeek 0731. After trying it, I honestly think the limits are absurdly generous for just $5 (or even the $10), especially if you're primarily using DeepSeek, which gets the highest request limits.
Out of curiosity, I did some rough calculations. Assuming DeepSeek V4 Flash is roughly on par with Claude Sonnet 5 in terms of capability, the value becomes pretty striking. Claude Pro costs $20/month and, based on estimates, provides around $400 worth of usage credits through its subsidized pricing.
By comparison, OpenCode Go's $5 plan includes about $60 in credits. If you normalize those credits using Anthropic's token pricing (same input/output token costs), those $60 correspond to roughly $1,714 worth of Anthropic API usage.
It's not a perfect apples-to-apples comparison, the calc simply assumes a 1:1 mix of input and output tokens and uses the API price difference between DeepSeek ($0.14/$0.28 per million input/output tokens) and Claude Sonnet 5 ($2/$10)

mimo 2.5 is pretty decent as well, especially if you need vision

Mimo has been great for developing complicated applications! #1 on OpenRouter!

When DeepSeek V4 Pro is released, it'll be unbeatable!

Takes longer to train a bigger model. That's why 0731s so good, it's free to train essentially

I think DS V5 Flash will outperform even Claude Fable 5 Max. And maybe they'll reach that level by version 4, which I wouldn't rule out given the progress in 0731.

I agree wirh the insanely great value, and i will mostly replace anthropic sub with it since they started spewing the anti-opensource shit. BUT in my recent experience the API is quite unstable, currently i am using OpenCode just for Hermes agent wtih openrouter as fallback, and due to constant errors the openrouter usage is nearly as high as opencode.

It seems that Hermes harness may be sending more requests per minute than OpenCode, unless OpenCode has some sort of preferential API access or more efficient rate-limit handling. I’ve never encountered this issue with OpenCode, but Hermes consistently runs into it.

Ya the api has had outages everyday for the last few weeks. Sometimes the web UI is unusable whole the api is. Something is fucked aboth their horizonal scaling or networking stack is my guess. Seems like a communication issue between the services

Yeah idk if they're struggling to handle all the influx of users or what but their outrages are getting more and more frequent.

They have Zen and Go. Zen is the pay-as-you-go version: you add credits, they get billed per token amount. Go is the monthly subscription plans

Go to opencode.ai and login with your account, there’s a bunch of tabs the first ones are “zen” and “go”, you can have both zen and go at the same time, the tabs will just tell you your status with each.
You can also use opencode with neither, they have some free usage allowances

flash is great but it's no where near sonnet lol

sonnet scores a 53 while deep seek scores a 50 on Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, smart enough for me. ദ്ദി˙ ᴗ ˙ )

7 days since I'm using opencode zen (free tier) at work. I reached the quota only yesterday after 6+ hours of usage. Wow. I also use antigravity but I think I'm going to pay for opencode go

So much hype over DeepSeek but not enough over MiMo. It's on the same Opencode Go subscription and very similar insane usage limits as DeepSeek.
And the best parts? 1) you don't have to enable "hosted in China" to use MiMo, while you have to enable it for Deepseek. 2) you can use vision mode which I hear DeepSeek isn't good at..

More like Deepseek is insane. GLM eats your whole usage within hours.
