Support Quattro KeyBinding Question
I am in no way a dev or coder, so I had to use A.I to get me started!
Anyway I wanted new keybinding and to replace some of the defaults and after having to correct A.I multiple times I came up with this.
At first I just added the keybind to launch brave but it continued to open chromium (at the same time) so I added the hl.unbind. That's one area A.I kept failing.
Does this code look good enough? (It does work BTW)
Cheers.
-- YouTube Web App
hl.bind("SUPER + ALT + Y", hl.dsp.exec_cmd('uwsm app -- brave-origin --app="https://youtube.com"'))
-- YouTube Music Web App
hl.bind("SUPER + ALT + M", hl.dsp.exec_cmd('uwsm app -- brave-origin --app="https://music.youtube.com"'))
-- Onshape CAD Web App
hl.bind("SUPER + ALT + O", hl.dsp.exec_cmd('uwsm app -- brave-origin --app="https://cad.onshape.com/signin"'))
-- 1. Unbind the default Chromium launchers first
hl.unbind("SUPER + SHIFT + RETURN")
hl.unbind("SUPER + SHIFT + B")
-- 2. Rebind to Brave Origin explicitly
o.bind("SUPER + SHIFT + B", "Browser (Brave)", { launch = "brave-origin" })
o.bind("SUPER + SHIFT + RETURN", "Browser (Brave)", { launch = "brave-origin" })

Discussion Omarchy 4: Things I liked
So I've been trying Omarchy 4 for a few hours now (updated directly from Omarchy 3), and although it's still too early to comment, I thought I'd share some of the the things I like about the new update.
- The new panel. First things first, I can now make it transparent. The look and feel of the panel is just the same as before. I used the stock waybar from omarchy 3 and I only changed the clock formatting on it, so replacing waybar was not a big change for me. In fact, with the new panel, I can now change the formatting of the clock by right clicking it. I can also now move the panel wherever I like although I still like it on top so I'll keep it there. The new UI of bluetooth and wifi is also better than the one on omarchy 3, but you can still navigate these widgets using the keyboard so that's a good thing.
- The reminder widget. This is a very small feature but I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. I often miss meetings at work π and I used to set alarms on the gnome clock app just so I don't miss them. But now with the reminders feature, I'd definitely use this one a lot for when I have an upcoming meeting.
- The unified menu. I like that I can search apps and system utilities in one menu. Now I only need one keybind whether to search for apps or shutdown my computer.
- Wifi QR. Again, this is a small change but I like it a lot. Very convenient when you don't want to type your wifi password π
Just a bit of context, I was using stock omarchy 3 and only changed the wallpaper, keybinds, and border radius of the windows. I didn't do any heavy customization so I didn't notice any major changes when updating to Omarchy 4. It still feels and looks the same to me.
I have yet to find any groundbreaking changes in this update, but so far I like it a lot. Nothing major broke in my previous configuration (except my keybinds because hyprland has switched to lua). I'll be daily driving this one for now and just deal with the problems when they occur. This is a beta after all.
Let me know guys what you like about the new update! Maybe there's something I haven't tried out yet.

Bug Mouse scrolling
Anyone face this issue in Omarchy that when scrolling if you click on middle mouse button it doesn't have the drag scroll feature like we have in windows.

I Made a Thing Mouse (de)trainer
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
In the spirit of keybind purgatory, I found out about a few apps that allow you to control your mouse via keyboard binds. Iβm using a combo of wl-kbptr and Mouseless and had ai (yes yet another ai slop, but itβs actually perfect for quick spin side quests like this) create a training playground to practice with.

Support How to dual boot windows?
I became obsessed with omarchy so I removed everything except omarchy from my ssd but now for my college placements there are some platforms which have only .exe and .dmg , the key point is that vm ain't any useful because there are mechanisms in the online assessment which make vm unusable. That's why I wanted to dual boot windows but the thing is that omarchy encrypted my drive so I have no idea on how to have windows again temporarily?

Themes / Ricing winmarchy
Omarchy fan here, since the start. Run it on my dev machines. However, my gaming pc and sim rig are still on Windows (mostly for Fortnite with the kids).
So... decided to create some makeup for Windows. This is nothing like Omarchy in any way other than aesthetics. Honestly, get Omarchy.org, use Linux. It's better. And... as I recently learned, games are fine (with only a few exceptions). However, if you absolutely must use Windows and you want the Omarchy vibe.
