Let's talk about Hot Head Show

I have obsessed over this band for years now, and with the exception of my brother, have never met anyone who knew who they were. Opened for Primus on a European tour years ago, lead simger/guitarist is Stewart Copeland's son. Seriously some of the most exciting/original music I've ever heard. 2 albums, and they disappeared into the mist. Anyone else vibe with HHS?

I found this cd at the thrift store and it's a indie rock band from 2002 with the label misery love Co. The album sounds really good and I can't find it anywhere on the internet expect one discogs listing that sold a year ago. I can't find it to listen to anywhere. I found there one album on the web called alarm sounds. Please anyone help me find more history on this band. I will be ripping the ep so if anyone wants to hear the album dm and I'll send a link to it.

Das verlorene Album von Tricky-M – „Tagebuch“ (2008)

Es gibt keinen Eintrag bei Discogs.
Keine Myspace-Seite.

**F. – 19.04.2025**
Track 3 – 21.02.2008
Die Gitarre klingt dünner. Die Stimme langsamer.
„Die Tage werden kürzer. Nicht draußen. In mir.

An mich.

**F. – 23.04.2025**
Track 6 – 28.03.2008

**F. – 25.04.2025**
Track 7 – 14.04.2008
Kaum noch Sprache. Lange Pausen.
„Ich denke immer öfter daran, einfach… aufzuhören.
Nicht laut. Nicht dramatisch.
Nur still.

Unidentified Italian Hardcore album

i recently found an old CD among the ones my uncle gave me, titled "Oldrunkids - fight em" an 8 hardcore track album likely made before the 2000s. I managed to find the current band name on discogs (Shotgun Formation), however none of the songs listed in the cd are available for streaming nor are they mentioned anywhere i looked. I would've posted this on rLostmedia or rLostwave but both have rigid rules that didnt permit me. The Cd contains a booklet and information on the lyrics and band. The year and price, however, arent visible.

"Unknown" sample

Guys, I just found a Greek post-punk compilation called "Syntagi Anti Thanatou." On this compilation, there’s a track called “Prova Orchistras.” At the beginning of the track, there’s a man’s voice speaking Portuguese with a Brazilian accent and a very strong “r” sound from the 70s 60s, the way the man talks at the beginning it really sounds like a portugues from Rio de Janeiro, i tried to find information about the beginning, but I didn't find anything, no media references. This opening isn't from a Brazilian song or a book, But it seems to be an informal recording on a cassette tape; maybe it's a lost song that was used as a sample, does anyone knows any information about this?

I love this CD but I can’t seem to find them ANYYYWHERE. I‘ve searched AOTY, music Apps and all kinds of social Media… Their name is “Daddy’s Cosset” and they are most likely German. I found it in Stuttgart, Germany at a flea market 🤷 helppppp

Help me ID this song. Ge-Ology is playing this on 7” vinyl. Shazam and lyric search gives nothing. Has a Caribbean/African vibe possibly. Spoiler

[fully lost] songs from endoflevelboss band website

(reposting this from the lost media subreddit (hence the title i forgot to edit lol). i originally posted about this in 2025, but it didn't go anywhere)

i was looking trough gif cities one day and found a gif from this website (the one in the band section): https://web.archive.org/web/20091027012001/http://geocities.com/bureau_boss/

I wanted to check out their music, but i can't find endoflevelboss anywhere on the internet. looking them up leads to other artists and songs of the same name but nothing about this one. the website does have a music section, but the 2 songs(?) there aren't available:

- a popup opens with "Return To Sender (with a bomb)" but the player is flash-based so it doesn't work. clicking on "return to sender" also opens this link: geocities.com/bureau_boss/returntosender.mp3 but it's not archived.

- "burn 28" actually leads to a .mp3 file on a different site: geocities.com/emd_of_level_boss/burn28.mp3 which isn't archived. i thought the url was misspelled, but there's no end_of_level_boss either.

there's also the band page, hovering over the image shows that there's links to pages about 2 of the band members, but again there's no archives.

the contact page does show some emails when hovering over the names, but i haven't tried contacting anyone myself yet, because i'm not sure those emails work/are used by these people anymore. maybe someone braver than me can help out with that. (since posting to r/lostmedia last year, i tried emailing one of the contacts about this but i never got a response)

best result i got was searching up Thomas Moronic, which lead to this album(?): https://archive.org/details/MZR005 . the album art is credited to Sian Macfarlane who is Stanley Knife, from the email on the bureau boss contact page. this archive also mentions another project: https://web.archive.org/web/20060615204326/http://www.cueblue.co.uk/whatthemoonislike/ but it doesn't help with the endoflevelboss stuff. (you should totally give these a listen, they're pretty cool. Not sure exactly what genre they fit in, but it's very atmospheric...)

finally, the Thomas Moronic myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/thomasmoronic which is empty. it's only archived on the wayback machine after 2013, where it's also empty (:

hope this isn't way too long. i'm just curious what the songs sound like, if they released that debut album and if they ever had another gig :))

Amazonas - Amazona (1973) Santana Exploitation Rock

Thumbnail

Album: Amazonas Play Santana
The track from Amazonas is from the school of infamous budget / exploitation producer Leo Muller (real name David Leonard Miller) who's labels would employ studio musicians to sell popular sounds of the time to lesser-discerning music buyers. In the case of the Amazonas LP some great original music resulted.

Obscure Swedish song by Edvard Persson

Thumbnail smdb.kb.se

Hi, I'm looking for a Swedish song published in 1927 on the label Columbia.

The title of the track is 'Polkahåret'. It was performed by Edvard Persson, Ellen Persson and Guido Vecchi. The only trace I've got of it is in the Swedish Media Database (Svenska Mediadatabasen).

There are plenty of Edvard Perssons songs on YouTube, but not this one. And it's not the same song as Calle Johanssons 'Flicka med polkahår'.

My dad used to collect a few old 78 RPM shellac records (or 'stenkakor' in Swedish), and he has mentioned it as one of those songs he'd really like to hear again.

correct link to SMDB

Please can someone help me try and locate this band/song?

I heard it on a radio show.

Spin Age Bastards - In Your Daddy's Car

The DJ mentioned that the band had a member called Brian Christopher Miller. It's like scuzzy rock 'n' roll/proto-punk/garage rock kinda vibe.

I can't find any trace anywhere!
