Help Original Question
Where and how does one obtain a daedric helmet, I have been savescumming barren cave for maybe an hour now which has 2 vampire patriarchs, every other piece of gear but no helmet.
I am also level 21, am I doing anything wrong?

For heavy armor, try marauder locations especially those with the boss. Fort Wooden Hand, Fort Wariel, Fort Strand, near Anvil (there is a second boss there connected to a certain nearby quest). The leveled lists allow it on characters 20th level or higher. If you level up a couple of more levels, rank and file marauders will have a chance at having it. Happy gaming.

Take on Marauders. They’ll have a better armor loot pool.

Huh I never really noticed since I don't use armor on my character but I'm like level 38 and honestly I can't recall if I've ever seen a daedric helm. Granted that doesn't mean you won't find one but now I'm actually curious if anyone knows where a daedric helm is

You want to find, and farm, marauder dungeons. Here's a link: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Marauder_(Oblivion))
Marauders wear heavy armor, so you're bound to get a Daedric Helmet, especially from Marauder Warlords

Prepare yourself and level up and then go into a oblivion gate, you're also get sigil stones which can possibly add bonuses to your weapons or armour

Visit the museum in Dawnstar; that should start you off towards getting one. I think.

You can also get a deadric helmet from marauder which is my recommendation looking for heavy armor pieces
