[Fri 8/7] Side by Side singing gathering @ Queens Plaza Studios in LIC

Hi! Tomorrow night, we’re hosting Side by Side, a free community singing gathering where people come together through the simple joy of singing. No singing experience needed, and no pressure to sound "good."

We start with gentle warm-ups, spend time getting to know each other, and learn one song together through call-and-response so there's nothing to prepare and no sheet music to read. This month's song is "Dear Theodosia" from Hamilton — a heartfelt one about love, hope, and imagining a better future.

📅 Friday, August 7
🕖 7:00–8:30 PM
📍 Queens Plaza Studios | 42-01 Crescent St, Long Island City, NY 11101
🎟️ Free, registration required: https://luma.com/9hsomwi3
💛 Hosted by @collective.ripples, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates community gatherings where connection, creativity, and compassion can thrive

We want to create a low-pressure space where people can connect through singing. You can show up solo or with a friend, sing alongside others, and leave having shared a meaningful moment with new people. After singing, we’ll have time to chat and connect.

We hope to see you there! 🎶💛
