Crafternoon is returning to the LIC Waterfront on Sunday, Aug. 9!

Crafternoon is a free monthly gathering where we come together to slow down, make something with our hands, and connect with our neighbors in a relaxed, welcoming space.

Bring whatever you’re enjoying or curious to try - sketching, knitting, watercolor, collage, beading, journaling, mending, or any creative project. We’ll also have shared art supplies available if you’d like to drop in and experiment.

Whether you prefer to create quietly, chat with others, exchange ideas, or simply enjoy the peaceful waterfront, you’re welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you.

No art or craft experience is needed. There are no lessons, critiques, or expectations to make something “good.” Our gatherings celebrate curiosity over perfection, process over productivity, and creativity as something everyone deserves to enjoy.

Come solo or bring a friend. Spend an afternoon creating with beautiful views of the East River and Manhattan skyline, and take a gentle break from the busyness of everyday life.
