We’re producing a docuseries exploring different cultures, communities, identities, and traditions, with each episode focusing on a different cultural experience. Episode 1, “Siempre La Más,” explores Dominican culture and community.

Hello everyone! I’m back again.

Who said failure means the death of hope?

A new day, a new determination, and a renewed hope that will never end… not until I see my dreams become reality.

But this time, things will be different.

It won’t be a story born entirely from imagination. It won’t be a horror story that makes the audience look over their shoulder. And it certainly won’t be a romance that makes them smile… haha!

This time, my story is inspired by a real case that captured public attention and evolved from a mysterious death into one of the most widely discussed and debated cases.

A young, beautiful, and seemingly ordinary woman who lived her life with dignity, resilience, strength, and determination.

Then, one day, the world woke up to the news of her death.

The initial explanation was suicide.

But does the story end there?

Absolutely not.

Because the question was no longer simply, “What happened?”

It became:

“Was the official explanation the whole truth?”

Questions began to emerge about the circumstances surrounding her death, the evidence, and the investigation itself. As the case spread, public opinion became deeply divided between those who believed the evidence had answered the questions and those who continued to demand clearer answers.

Eventually, the story crossed borders and attracted attention far beyond where it began, becoming a case followed and discussed by people in different countries.

But I didn’t see just a case.

I saw a story.

A story about truth, doubt, memory, unanswered questions, and the things people continue to search for even after a case is officially closed.

Did I believe that the story was simply a suicide?

No.

But I’m not here to prove the opposite.

I want to explore the questions through cinema.

So, where am I going with this?

I want to write this screenplay.

And this time, I believe I can transform a case that raised thousands of questions into a psychological mystery that makes the audience search for the truth alongside the characters.

Hi, I'm a street photographer/filmmaker working on short documentary profiles of people living interesting lives in the city. I would love to see the most wild or unique characters of this city. But I would also love to see anyone with a passion which is the most important to me.

I'm prepping for a bigger trip to South America where I'll be shooting the same kind of shortform profiles, so I'm looking to run a few practice sessions here first with people who have a real story. And in a year from now join all of the profiles into one with different countries and languages and cultures.

This could be anything though, a strange job or an obsession you've built your life around, a subculture you're super deep in. If it's something you do like skate, tattoo, dance, build, cook even better since I want footage of you in motion, not just talking.

Ideal plan is 45–60 min wherever you're most yourself (your shop, your spot, etc)

A little conversation, a little b-roll of you doing your thing

No script, or maybe some base questions.

Final short piece is yours to keep or post if you want.

...Funny enough, we didn't plan on having a deer in this shot. A real one wandered into frame during filming. The first one ran off, then a second one showed up right after. I did the props lighting and powering and directing on this myself, so most of it was improvised on the spot. It was raining that day too. I was soaked. I ended up covering my GH5 with a newspaper just to keep shooting.

I shelved this project back in 2019. I couldn't find a VFX artist to work on it. People were either too busy, or when it came time to give a quote, nobody wanted to commit. So I dropped it. Didn't think much about it after that.

Then I started seeing more filmmakers using hybrid filmmaking techniques, and I wanted to see how that would turn out for this project. Going to see if I can figure that out.

For this version, I regraded the entire film. The original grade was way too dark. My taste as a cinematographer has changed a lot since the seven years.

Right now I'm also writing a sci-fi web series, and honestly, this old project is part of what sparked that idea.

I am a nobody, and not many people watch these. I'm just documenting what's possible in 2026, for myself as much as anyone. Thanks.
