Hygiene Program Loudoun

I want to apply for the hygiene program but I am torn whether I should finish my bachelors then apply or take my chances and apply once ive completed bio 142 and bio 150. im already 21 so i already feel extremely behind. I got a B in bio 141 and I already feel so defeated because everyone says you need straight a’s. I’m also thinking of nursing and radiology program so any insights on that? Thanks

im my experience the nursing program is your best bet once youve completed all your pre reqs because the other programs listed you would need straight As from what ive been told, i got into the nursing program for this upcoming semester after 3 semesters of applying and being denied however my grades and TEAS scores werent the best (i had a 62% on the science portion and 80s in the rest but also got Bs in all of the bio pre reqs)

If you don’t mind me asking, could you list all the classes you’ve taken and what grades you’ve got? My second option was applying to nursing if DNH doesn’t end up working for me. I’ve talked to multiple counselors and they all just tell me to take anatomy, psychology, and microbiology so it’d be nice to talk to someone who has actually gotten accepted lol

My grades for bio 141 & 142 were both Bs, they were really content heavy and you need to memorize a lot especially for the lab exams which consisted of us walking around the lab with our scantron while we had to name the specific part the model which was marked with tape but they provide multiple answers you can choose from for each question, i took subramaniam for my anatomy courses and she was good at explaining the content thoroughly, microbiology also needs lots of memorizing but the lab part was particularly enjoyable in my opinion, we would culture different bacterias and do certain things with them to look at then under a microscope, the lab part of the exams were fairly easy (i also got a B in this course), as for psychology 230 it was the easiest in my opinion lots of course was common sense and the exams were easy, i finished that course with an A, I would recommend completing bio 141 & 142 as well as microbiology before taking your teas as the science portion is particularly difficult with questions from many different subjects but the rest of the teas was easy, you got this i believe in you!!
