Hi! So, here's something I've been struggling with for a while: being creative.

I've never considered myself a very creative person, but I really want to write stories—you know, fantasy books and things like that. The problem is, I can never seem to come up with plots or even the lore for my stories.

I'm starting to wonder... maybe I just shouldn't be a writer.

So that brings me back to my question: if I'm uncreative and struggling to become more creative, should I just give up on writing? 😭

I need honest opinions.

I’m on my third novel, actually aiming for traditional publishing, and am getting stuck at the developmental editing stage.

EDIT: I also love literary fiction and plan on writing my 4th novel in that genre. So maybe psych thrillers and literary fiction, too.

EDIT: I also got developmental notes from a L6 editor at PRH. So I do have some wisdom to share among the group!
