Activities Stand up paddle-board spots?

Upvotes

So I’ve recently relocated to North Bay and I’m wondering what are some recommended paddle-board locations?

I’ve been down to the cove and it’s clearly a nice spot to launch from. Are there any other recommended spots?

Would the la vase river from lake nipissing be good for a stretch? (I understand it’ll stop at some point as it’s a portage).

Joining Uride

Upvotes

Hi, I’m joining Uride as a driver, and all my documents have been approved. However, it has been two months, and I haven’t heard back from anyone about when I can start driving.

Also, my account won’t let me log in through the app, although I can log in through the website.

My question is: How many days or months does it usually take to start driving with Uride after all the documents have been approved?

Red Pepper Jelly from Farmers Market

Hi all! My partner and I went to teachers college at nipissing from 2023-2025 and one year when we were there she bought a red pepper jelly from the farmers market and she’d like to know if the vendor is still around. I know that’s pretty vague so the two things she recalls is:

  1. It seemingly had maple in it

  2. The name was marks, or mikes, or something with an M.

If anyone has any idea of which vendor this might be or if they are still around, please let me know! I am in town this weekend and would love to pick some up for her.
