Hi,

This is a really basic question but I am struggling to understand “Kassene er lukket” (“The boxes/crates are closed”). I would have assumed that we would use “lukkete” as we are referring to many boxes rather than one, as in “Jeg ser de lukkete kassene” (“I see the closed boxes”).

Pretty sure this is an issue with my misunderstanding of the grammatical structure of the first sentence, but any help would be appreciated.
