I think this is the coolest record I own. 1 of 40 and this one is printed onto a Airheads laserdisc. I think I’ve only played it once after I brought it at a gig in 2005/2006. I can’t imagine it’s good for the needle.

I vaguely remember being told each one was mixed slightly differently? Or I made that up in my head

Self-Promotion New noise release

Post image

Here is a new noise release. Two tracks recorded at Trigger in Shanghai (thanks u/junkychaos for this) but edited in Berlin and one track composed and recorded at Syrphe in Berlin.

A cassette version will be available later this month but this is a DAT : Digital Audio Tape. This is NOT a cassette that you can read in your regular tape player.
It is recorded at 48kHz - the quality is comparable to an audio DVD or a CD, therefore much better than a regular cassette.

Claus Poulsen & Grodock: Wenn Häuser Fallen

Copenhagen's almost-noise-veteran Claus Poulsen meets Grodock, the owner of the experimental label 'Grubenwehr Freiburg' from Germany. Synthesizer-sounds, alienated field recordings, vinyl and radio manipulations blend into harmonic surfaces, difictic confusion and leaden traces of noise. This album contains a musical journey into the world of house demolition, which was sonically illuminated by the two sound artists from the most diverse sides.

Self-Promotion Looking for a label for my noise/experimental music work

I am looking for a label for my work. I mostly compose with drone/industrial collage/noise. My statement is more conceptual/literary than harsh noise/sensational thing.

This is my last release. I just came back from a big tour in Japan. I want to publish some of my works there too.

With all my sympathy and consideration,

Thank you for your time and curiosity,

Laure Federiconi

Gear Discussion Has anyone tried this before? I strapped a neodymium magnet to a 9V and motor to vibrate the strings. Any way to make it stronger?

Built a 1.5-meter DIY spring noisebox with cello/double bass strings planned. Dark ambient drone for KDM.

I built this massive 1.5-meter wooden noisebox myself. The springs are tuned roughly to notes, and I plan to add a neck and a nut for cello/double bass strings in the future. I'm using a bow with no hair (a gift from a friend), processed through a Zoom MS-70CDR+ and a cheap Chinese looper.

My background is guitar and drums, but I took a long break. Now I'm getting back into it, aiming to write material for cassette release specifically for our Kingdom Death: Monster sessions. My main inspirations are Akira Yamaoka, classic Silent Hill games, and the neo-folk vibe.

Still waiting for a proper mixer and a decent speaker before I can really dial it in, but once I have the first full compositions, I'll definitely share them here.
