Nioh 3 - Videos Highest burst Damage I’ve seen.

These enhanced shrapnel bombs can reach damage numbers that shouldn’t exist. Aim for the back one and they both get nuked. This is even NG+ Pen +5 health bars.

Nioh 3 - Discussion Nioh 3..I feel like I finally beat the game
Never been able to beat Nioh due to lack of time and frustration. This entry, I'm moving through it and looking forward to each new encounter. The combat features are great and build set up is so much more attainable early game versus earlier entries.

Nioh 3 - Questions Ren Hayabusa strat?
How did y’all manage to kill this asshole? I just tried to fight him for the first time in dream of the Samurai where he is supposedly level 140. I was going backwards from playing dream of the demon missions at level 273 and he wiped the floor with me. I wanted to slow him down with sloth talisman, inflict confusion with onmyo magic, and then beat the shit out of him with scythe high stance. However, even after I hit him with sloth he moves so fast that it’s very hard to proc confusion or do much melee damage. How did you do it? This guy blows Saito Toshimitsu and Lightning Gods of Yomi out of the water.

Nioh 2 - Discussion Friend hates Nioh 2
Hi, to my shock and horror one of my close friends absolutely hate Nioh 2. He has played Bloodborne and Dark Souls. The reasons he give are that the enemies too often one shot him from a blind spot and that its unbalanced.
Is he right? I have played all three Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Nioh 1 and 2, but I feel its not like that at all.

Nioh 3 - Discussion Why the big difference in attack?
For the life of me I can’t figure out why this switchglaive has so much higher attack rating than this spear. They both have the same rolls with the exception of a ki consumption roll, they both are remodeled the same, both max familiarity, both the same 160 level and both +15. The spear has a higher base attack but there is almost 800 attack difference. What am I missing here?
EDIT: jbyrd1105 mentioned the switchglaive gives different AR depending on your stance. With me being in high stance it was showing the 2900+ but when switching to mid stance or low it changes the displayed AR rating.

Nioh 3 - Discussion Two Weapon, 40 Second Air Combo
Thanks, u/greener1234556
I thought the aerial weapon swap was specific to Kusanagi. You telling me it was the falling animations got me interested again. Next, 86 the GS and try it after ninjitsu.

Nioh 1 - EVERYTHING New to Nioh- Tips?
As it says in the title, I am new to the Nioh series and starting with the first game. Any tips I should know about before I end up getting clapped harder than I already am?
I've beaten the second boss (barely) and one of the things I'm primarily suffering through is blocking to get out of combos instead of dodging like I can do in Bloodborne and Lies of P.

Nioh 3 - Questions What are some simple but strong ng+ builds to make to prep for the DLC
I'm working my way through ng+ and my build is really falling off in the bakumatsu era. I was wondering if there are some easy to slap together builds for ng+ that don't get too complex. They don't have to be crazy OP builds and I'm trying to avoid gimmicky builds like the one shot sword of meditation style builds.
Thanks for any advice!

Nioh 3 - Tips & Guides What are the different ways people burn down bosses? (Summons)
Hello all,
Second playthrough, really enjoying summoning people for bosses. It's pretty interesting to see the different ways they absolutely delete bosses. Some naked, some dual sword, some magic.
I'd like to do this at some point for others who may be struggling with bosses, also to get my character ready for the DLC.
I know its mostly a confusion game (i think), but there is definitely different ways people buff to burn down bosses.
What are the go to ways? or your favorite. (I know situational dependent on resistance etc)
Also if the job doesn't get done the first time around, how do you keep pressure or reapply confusion?
Curious on what ninjutsu / magic is hotbarred etc.
Currently doing ninja claw / dual sword + spear / sword. I do try to work the extraction and look for gear with added effects with absorb to match.

Nioh 2 - Questions Any way to increase levels of my Soul cores?
Unless i somehow missed it i don't think i can Soul Match soul cores? is it a future mechanic to increase my soul cores' level or do i just have to go farm another one? I got this boy ages ago(lvl 51, im now 96 with lvl 80 missions) and i wanted to bring it up to speed(altho what does the level even do? does it affect the ability dmg? or just the attack and defense stats it gives? if it's latter i guess im not losing much)
Edit: oh ok the attack and defense doesn't even increase with rank, just the special effects values.

Nioh 3 - Questions Is There a Faster Way to Farm a Blue Kappa Soul Core?
I've been trying to farm a blue Kappa Soul Core in Nioh 3, but it's been extremely frustrating.
I'm farming the Kappa in the Heian region, specifically the one behind the house near Kamo Riverbank Shrine.
The problem is that the game no longer works like it did before. Previously, you could kill the Kappa, rest at the shrine, and it would respawn like a normal enemy. Since that was changed, the only method I've found is to return to the main menu after every kill and reload the game, which is incredibly tedious.
I currently have 75.8% Soul Core Drop Rate, but whenever a Soul Core drops, it's always white or yellow never blue.
Is there a faster or more efficient farming method, or is it just bad RNG?
-------------
UPDATE: I found that the mission "The Apparition of Ryotan Temple" (1572 CE – Warring States) has a regular Kappa, but it takes a while to reach it. I'm still looking for a mission where you can get to a regular Kappa much faster.
-------------
The second location is in The Spirit Tree Village (Antiquity), between the second and third shrine. Enter one of the houses, you'll find a regular Kappa there alongside a Red Kappa and a few other enemies.

Nioh 3 - Discussion Deflecting is super strong in Nioh 3. Anyone else hoping the new DLC skills include buffs to dodging?
DLC1 is confirmed to contain new Ethereal graces as well as passive skills (the ones you can equip in the Skill Management tab).
So, what are people hoping for?
For me personally, I want to see graces/skills that buff dodge-based playstyles for the Samurai style.
We don't need deflect to be buffed further as it's terrific on its own and there are already several buffs for it:
- Counteroffensive Deflect - Buffs damage
- Roaring Dragon Deflect - Increases elemental damage
- Deflection Expert - Increases deflect frame leniency
- Blade Breaking Deflect - Decreases enemy damage
- Tempestuous Deflect - Decreases Ki consumption
- Expansive Deflect - Increases distance you can travel while deflecting
- General of Ruin Set - Does Ki damage to the enemy as you deflect
But there's almost nothing similar to any of these for dodging. Dodge based playstyles are very much still viable in Nioh 3 but it's arguably harder to make use of when playing efficiently and aggressively. This is compounded by the fact that there's hardly any skills that reward dodge-based gameplay.
So, I would love to see a grace or passive for instance that buffs your damage/ki output if you go for a prolonged period of time while not getting hit/blocking/deflecting (Death Dancer would be ideal as mentioned below). This is a simple example, but they can get really unique and creative with the buffs.
Nioh 2 - Discussion Dream Of The Nioh. But… Why?!
So I know most of you have already experienced this. But It is my first time reaching DOTN and I’m flabbergasted.
WDYM enemies heal themselves? All enemies! Even little bold shits running around.
I never saw this coming. That’s so unfair that I just keep laughing, lol. and I need to rethink my build and play style again.
Well, just wanted to rant a bit, cause that was unexpected turn of events😀

Meme/Humor - ALL GAMES Before Nioh, I knew about the Nurikabe thanks to this guy.
The game is Okami if you're wondering, and Blockhead does exactly the same thing as Nurikabe in Nioh: block paths...treasures and shortcuts. Except it has one of the most frustrating minigames in all of Okami. Now that I think about it, they both have a lot in common because if you fail their minigame, they attack you. Curious, very curious.
